Let me tell you a story: Dublin opens her wardrobe, ready to change the HA she's had for a few days. She picks a few items and tries to work up a new outfit. Failure. So she picks an old HA from her saved outfit and closes the wardrobe. Repeat this cycle over and over. I've bought several new wearables, and nothing has helped. I'm really picky about my HAs, and, like in real life, I don't wear an outfit I'm not totally satisfied with it.

Long story short: I'm stuck in a severe HA rut and have to resort to using old HAs because I'm picky.

It's really frustrating because I will have a few days of awesome, imo, HAs and then bam, no more awesomeness for you.

Have you tried just picking a few items from random and working from there? That's usually what I do when I'm stuck. :]

I love the HA's you have. I recently have found my HA skill and I know it took a while...maybe you have HA block, similar to writers block where you may just need a break?

I'm sure you'll get over it. It hasn't happened to me though, so I don't know how horrible it is. XD You should start off wig, that's what I do. XD

I normally start of with a single item and work from there. My current one started with the beret.

I'm sure it will come back, just try maybe I don't know how to put it, but dont over stress, great ideas will come to you.

Nothing bad can come of playing around in the wardrobe. I've made some clunkers, but then other ones have ended up coming out great. And even in the clunkers, I've at least learned what doesn't work.

And if you start with a random item, don't necessarily be tied to it. I was in a bit of a creative slump, so I decided to try to use the Heartstring wig.. and this is the avatar I ended up with. :P You can always start with a colour or colour scheme in mind as well, and try to build from there.

I stick to a series of crappy ones. xD

i love this current avatar, but i want to use my new (expensive!) items on a different one, too. i tried a couple times, but just kept on reverting back to this one.

One of these times I'm going to let my 19-year-old daughter make my avatar. xD

I've tried to use unique pieces, like the ballet dresses, when I'm really stuck.

...Then, stop being so picky? :P Seriously though I have one tip for you:

Just go into your wardrobe, close your eyes, and pick two items from every layer. Open your eyes. Look at your avatar. Have a good lol. Then try to layer it as good as you can. Then delete it, and make a proper avatar.

It'll make your new avatar look like the image of perfection compared to the old one ;)

I really like your current one. I'm pretty useless at HA's so I tend to stay with the same one for ages. xD

I have those days all the time... I go through like 20 HAs before just settling on one even if I hate it X_X

Ha, I have a different problem. I keep on making awesome HAs in the generator, but I don't have the money to wear them. xD
