Okay, for the past two months I've noticed that the desired hair pieces inside the MCs are not showing up when they are opened. Is this a glitch or something done on purpose? And if done on purpose then why?

They're transformable. This month can be transformed into and . There is an option to transform it when you click on it in your inventory.
