what is your current team right now? whats your favorite type? is there a certain pokemon you MUST HAVE on your team?

i try to have the perfect balance of types on my team. right now i have

(ruby) lvl 38 hariyama lvl 39 wailmer (been training him, he's usually my lvl 38 sandslash) 39 linoone 41 azumarill (almost at lvl 42 so i'm going to let him rest and use my wailmer for a while cause i love wailmer) 39 altaria :D ❤ 39 cacturne

ruby is all i've been playing for a while. i'm on my last badge and my pokemon are considerably weak.

diamond team: (lol i rarely play diamond these days. i only use it for the battle tower, berries, and occasionally trying (and failing) to use the GTS and other wifi stuff)

21 spiritomb 59 rapidash 20 taillow 21 piplup 60 rotom 60 togepi

togepi is my FAVORITE :) i always have him on my team.

I try to have the perfect balance also. But I went a little haywire on Emerald just training pokemon that I liked. xD I really adore ice and water type pokemon. Dragon types are also really unique and I love the moves that come with that type. And a must have on my teams are Gyarados. I pretty much replace my Empoleon with my Gyarados on Diamond. If you can raise a Gyarados, everything else pretty much becomes really easy. xD Maybe Alakazam too. It's such a good sweeper with it's epic sp. attack.

I lost my Emerald game, but I still remember my team on it. >.< lvl 63lvl 62lvl 64(god I loved this thing) lvl 61lvl 62lvl 62 (couldn't evolve it since I didn't have an actual GBA)

Diamond Team: lvl 100 lvl 100 lvl 94 lvl 84 lvl 84 lvl 83

Platinum Team (I'm only on my 6th badge, forgive me, lol. I'm just about to battle Candice in Snowpoint City). lvl 44 lvl 44 lvl 44 lvl 45 lvl 42 ... and no readily trained 6th pokemon. xD But I do have a 2nd Platinum team. They belong to my sister though. lvl 50 lvl 50 lvl 50 lvl 52 lvl 50 lvl 50 This is my sister's so-called "perfect party." :P They're all EV trained and the team overall has no type weaknesses. Fun, lol.

Seeing as how Crystal is right in front of me and it's a kickass game, I'll post my team from there.

Sheesh. My team is a lot larger than just 6 Pokemon, yeah. I just rotate them depending on who I'm going to be fighting.

I didn't train all of these guys. My friend dumped all of her high-level Pokemon on me when she restarted her game. :P

Balance is extremely important to me, too. Can't have any poke types that can wipe me out. As for favorite type...well, there's nothing like a good Psychic type to wipe everything out, I LOVE not being paralyzed with Ground, and Water pokemon with Icebeam rule.

For Diamond I have Kom/Roserade Lvl. 59 Metagross Lvl. 60 Umber/Garchomp Lvl. 61 Armstrong/Machamp Lvl. 59 KingDedede/Empoleon Lvl. 60 Raphael/Honchkrow Lvl. 59

The Metagross and Garchomp are EV trained. I wanna do the rest of them, too.

My team through platinum was Torterra Lvl. 63 Rapidash Lvl. 62 Golduck Lvl. 63 Gardevoir Lvl. 63 Bronzong Lvl. 44 (Legendary catcher, never used in battle) And my two HM slaves/death fodder, Bibarel Lvl. 17 and Starly Lvl. 12.:D

But I''m currently training: Asmundr/Togekiss Lvl. 44 Luzige/Scizor Lvl. 42 Anemone/Starmie Lvl. 42 Addanc/Swampert Lvl. 43 Skadi/Froslass Lvl. 42 Barzilai/Lucario Lvl. 42

The above six are EV trained.

As for Pokemon that have to be in my team...well, I've been trying to use different types lately and my only real qualification is that it can't look totally retarded. My team has to be powerful AND good looking. :)

Oh yeah, I have to have at least one pokemon that can learn Earthquake and one Water type with Icebeam. I love those moves.

I don't have a solid team right now, to be honest... I'm waiting until I have everything else finished first before I make a team. I was going to make one up for Diamond but then Platinum came out... so I guess I should form one there soon. xD

On Platinum right now, though, I use my surfing Pikachu, Espeon, Magmortar, Arceus, Shaymin, and Empoleon a lot, but I don't do a whole lot of battling right now... my two favorite types are Fire and Psychic (God I wish there was a Pokémon made of those two types... sigh) so I'd kinda like to have those when I make a team, but I also want a nice variety so I can be flexible.

I have lots of teams, but here are/were some of my favorites:

Emerald Swampert/Skipper Lvl 68 Mightyena/Dakota Lvl 72 - has Poison Fang, flawless defense, and "impressive" IVs Ninetales/Sunshine Lvl 72 - has "wonderfully outstanding" IVs and flawless special attack :D Manectric/Comet Lvl 72 - has "impressive" IVs Swellow/Aerie Lvl 60 Latias/Marina Lvl 70 - EV trained

Now for my team building, I try to build on my favorite Pokemon and diversify the types. I always use my starter, a status inflicter, and a flier (not in Colosseum/XD). If I can't get my favorites, I go for sweepers and legendaries.
