Okay, so yesterday at the breakfast table, I asked my mom if she'd like me to do all the cooking and washing of the dishes for Mother's Day :p And of course she gleefully said yes xD

So this morning around 9-10am, I started mixing the dough for my bread bowls. While waiting for my dough to rise, I did all my veggie prep work for my clam chowder p: And then while waiting for the bread to bake, I made the chowder itself p;

I have to admit :s I'm rather proud of my bread bowls.. I even burnt my fingertips scooping out the inside of the hot bread so that I could put the chowder in p:

I made her a card with a 'quirky' poem inside. That's about as much as we did, though. :( We got flowers, but they got stuck in the queue, so she'll get 'em tomorrow. She wants me to study for her gift. :/

(But at least we remembered this year; last year, my father and I both forgot. D:)

Mothers Day was around a month and a half ago here in the UK. And my mum was in Italy at the time because she had to visit her sister. xD Buuttt, I did give her a phone call and I made her a card for when she got back.

On another note, can you make me some clam chowder some time?! It looks delicious. :'D And Happy Mothers Day for everyone's mothers across the pond! C:

You made me panic then - I thought I'd completely forgotten about Mother's Day! We already had Mother's Day here in the UK though, on March 22nd. I got my mum a card and some flowers, and took her out for a meal in the evening ^_^

Made her breakfast, baked a cake, brought her her favorite flowers.

I'm now being berated because apparently this morning she decided to quit smoking (she does this at least four times a year) and it's been an absolutely grueling two hours being pampered with no cigarettes. And about how much better my little sister is because she isn't bothering her (she didn't even get up yet) like I am. -_-

Oh god, can I have the directions for the bread bowls; they look delicious!

We've not really done anything... I made blueberry-banana-pecan muffins this morning. Otherwise, it's just been relaxing. XD

I'm a mother as well, so it's not that huge of a deal. She doesn't really expect me to do anything super special.

I'm going to cook my mom dinner (chicken and potatoes with garlic and seasoning salt, mmm) and make her a cake. The cake will (hopefully) be shaped like the head of a frog. My decorating skills are... questionable at best, though, so we'll see. XD

I'm making dinner too. I'm a little irritated because we ran out of cilantro :s I'll just have to make do without.. I was going to do a Coconut Curry Shrimp or chicken, but then iono if they want that.. So I might do a crusted chicken instead... With a salad? Iono, I have a few hours before I need to do any prep work DX

I think next time I'll try sourdough bread bowls.. I couldn't this time because we didn't have the right kind of yeast.. plus that dough takes longer to rise and I wouldn't have made it in time :p

Awh, those look good! I wish I had baking skills. Last time I attempted to make something I nearly burned the house down. (I was making muffins.)

My mother and I are going to Benihana for lunch. I was going to make her breakfast but I woke up at 12 pm so it was kind of late for that. ^^;

^ I was going to do breakfast but my dad got up early, and my mom got up the same time as me :s And by the time I got out of the shower she already had stuff going.. So meh xD My dad was like, just do lunch and dinner :p

I made her a card and bought her three sets of flower-shaped floating candles :3 My dad got her a really sweet card that made her cry I D'awwww-ed c: It was cute X3

My mom got a voucher for a Vibram Fivefingers and some very delicious Zotter chocolate. As always I decorated our kitchen table for her with flowers and whatever.

xD Yea, I went to a few stores yesterday and I saw SO MANY dads with kids -lawl- xD

I also saw a ton of young adults standing in front of the cards section -lawl-

They are.. I guess XD . They are like Toe Socks somehow. My brother got some and after I had a stressful day of finding a gift for our mom.. I went to nearly every shop in town lol - he just was like "Hey, why don't we get her a vocher?".

She was very happy about it. I'm glad. It's so hard to find a gift for her.

My little brothers, little sister and I prepared a humongous breakfast with 5 kinds of bread, fresh orange juice, strawberries and a mountain of chocolates etc c:

and also we did all the dishes and cleaning today :)

Me half-brother swept and mopped the floor. Unfortunately he woke me up as he was about to do one room and I was yelling loudlyO.o

I might write her a limerick (I told her no sonnet, I've been sonneted out writing 26 sonnets within the last two semesters) and watch a dumb movie with her.
