I'm leaving home, sucking at job hunt, working as a maid (read: cheap people's bitch) and hoping to god they actually pay me, and in college at the same time. I'm 17. Totally with you on the suck train. D:

At least you're trying.

My brother who is 22 years old has no interest in trying to look for a job. He just plays World of Warcraft all day and doesn't have a care in the world. He thinks he's going to mooch off of my parents until he's like 40. -_-

Ah why can't things just be simple. Getting a home when your only on benefits is so hard... And even harder is getting a job when theres like 100 people already wanting it. sigh Almost wonder if 3 years of College was just a waist of life...?! Still least I'm trying; Sometimes I just feel so alone. sigh

@ Spring - And your parents are allowing this?? If they are, it's not all his fault. A lazy ass will continue to be lazy if someone is enabling him.

Who's paying for his WoW account?

WoW is NOT free, unless he's breaking the law. :/

It's about $15 a month, my mom's an addict.

Yeah, I see those 'free' charges on my Visa every month. :P Then again, I'm a self-supporting adult who has to pay my own way.

If your parents are paying for both the WoW account and the internet connection, they can exercise their right to use parental controls, and limit his time.

Seriously, he really should find a job. He's just being a burden.

But, you already know that. :)

Meh. I'm 20, living with my parents, not going to school (no point in going if I don't know exactly what I want to do, in my opinion) and I can't find a job because no one seems to want to hire me. FML.

I had a hard time as I was 17. Didn't find a job (after I canceled my first - two month of pure hell - job) for pretty long. But I went to school again (I'm a nurse now) with 18 and now with 24 life is pretty good actually XD . So believe me, you will survive it and things will turn out well.

I'm seventeen and I'm way stressed about trying to figure out my future, find a job, keep my grades up, and on top of all that, I'm trying to deal with the fact that my best friend now doesn't want to be my friend because apparently I'm ''too much drama and need to grow up.'' I also have a piano recital coming up, and after that I'll be playing the piano for my church on Sunday mornings which means I'll have to start learning about three songs a week.

I'm 23, just graduated from a top university in my country for life sciences and I too am failing in my job search here at home. Then again, so are all my friends, and several of them happen to be some of the most gifted young physicists on the continent...makes me feel like less of a failure and dulls the stress a bit. Not much, but a bit.
