I'm thinking about starting a writing contest based on one I was in years ago...

But I know I need to have a good prize to get people to participate.

So my question is, what would be a good prize for a week long writing contest to write a piece with a certain theme?

Varying amounts of wizard tokens are always appreciated as prizes - they're easy to sell, usable by most people, and come in so many denominations that it makes splitting them up for first/second/third place simple.

What size of writing do you expect for the contestants to write. Like approx how many words? Oh and how many people are you expecting to enter? The answers to that will tell you how large the prize should be.
