this is a just a stupid little rant because well yea its a rant o.o and people rant on here a lot lol

So this is the 2nd time my forum set is erased. How is it, that it stays the way it is for MONTHS then all of the sudden BAM I get an 'official warning'? How do they even know the height? Do they sit there with some tool and measure every set they see O.o

I dunno, I just dont get it. I was even in a on going user game with a mod. If it was bigger then it should have been the mod I think would have told me it was above height. I see them give people friendly warnings to let them know they should be changed a lot. :)

Yea this might have been a stupid rant, but hey, I had to let it out someway lol. Now back to what you were all doing. And I shall go back to using my forumset... if I can remember the info I had lol

The max size of a Signature AND COMBINED ForumText is 400 pixels wide, and 325 pixels in height.
they don't have to tell you because it's already right there.

Well, maybe since it is your second time that's why you got an official warning?

You mean the forumset which was too tall? xD Make sure you change the height of it. ;) It would suck to get frozen over your forumset.

Sometimes it gets rather confusing. I asked a mod to check to see if mine was too tall, and he said to direct him to a forum post so he could see.

Then, many moons later I made a new forum set, made a ticket linked to a forum post where they could see, and then got a warning before they replied, as it was five pixels over. Apparently, despite the first UA telling me to, I wasn't supposed to have it in a post already.

Luckily I was able to get the warning removed, but the warning mark is still in my preferences. They can't remove that, apparently.

You can count the pixel height and width if you right click the image and click "Properties". That will tell you the image dimensions. Add up the numbers and you will get the total height and width. If it is over 325px high or 400px wide, then it is against the rules. :(

Not to mention if you open the image in it's own window or tab it says right in the title bar the dimensions of it. HRM. They probably just didn't notice it until now.

And don't worry, it happens to everyone. Now you know not to do it again. (;

Also, iirc, they count words in a signature/forumtext -- each line of text is equal to 10px. So mine would be however large my picture is + 20px.

Um...wth back?

Your ranting about the admins doing their job?

They aren't "pinning" you. People report your FT, they check it and fix it to conform to the rules or they see it and check it and again fix it.

If you see some over the correct size report those, don't just expect them to see it.

Or at least that's how I think it works.

If you've already had it cleared once, you think you'd have made sure not to end up doing it again.

I don't think some of you actually read her post properly. :|

She didn't say that the same forum set got cleared a second time. (Though it's likely, rofl) Also, I believe the main point of her rant is that she got an official warning without a verbal warning.

-shrug- I could be wrong, though.

It doesn't matter if it's a different forum set. After one has been removed, you should pay attention to it when you upload one.

If you get a ticket for driving down i-95, are you only going to pay attention speeding down i-95, and not worry about it speeding down 64? :P

Verbal warnings are friendly warnings, OP and Night. On top of that, she said that this is the second time it's been cleared meaning she's been warned for it before. I think you're the one that didn't read her post clearly.

I don't see how this is anyone else's fault but your own. Maybe it was this mod you mentioned who reported you for it?

I dunno why you're even ranting about this. For my first verbal warning was for this. I had a banner up for 3-5 months and then I get verbally warned. I learned from it and bam, I got over it. (But I never really knew text counted. :/) It doesn't matter if it's different or not. Just get over it. If you don't want it to happen again then double check before you put one up or just don't have one. It's that simple.

I'm sorry, but they wouldn't delete it if you weren't breaking the forum rules. The rules are there for everyone to see. They're pinned at the top of every forum. It's your job to check the rules.

I already have warnings with that and I do have issues. I guess they're just doing their jobs, but if it takes 6 months to notice that something is 1 or 2 pixels too large, it seems kind of ridiculous to give that person a warning, especially if the forumset was made by someone else.
