I've missed the whole Fragmentation stuff, would like to know what that is all about and how to go about getting crystals etc

and the shop in the Darkside "The Sable Smithy" I'd love to know what the items there are used for.

Check out this guide about the Fragmentizer. The Crystal Shop items haven't been updated but, other than that, it's pretty good.

As for the Sable Smithy, you can use the items to make swords by combining them in the Genetech lab. Here is a list of combos.

Thanks for posting that Fragmentizer guide , it is very useful - I was struggling to understand how to know which items to use, that should make it easier :D
