It would be my favorite anime of all time if it ended after season 2. In my opinion season 3 and 4 were terrible. I mean in season 3 the final dude has godlike powers and in season 4 he almost loses to a knight on a horse?? CMON stab the freakin horse, you have a sword.

But man o man, was season 2 the best ending to a season of any show I have ever watched.

What season 4? Rurouni Kenshin only had 3 seasons. I've only seen the parts of first season. But I've read the entire manga. I know that at least first few episodes of the first season were based on the manga, and I believe the second series was based on the Shishio arc? That was probab;y the best arc. I kind of liked the Enishi arc too, but I don't think that made it to the anime. :|

Oh I see, I just assumed season 3 was split in half after Kenshin defeated the godlike dude, I just never looked into it, either way, season 3 was terrible.

I would advise to stop after season 2, it just goes downhill from there.

I looked it up, and I confirmed that the anime stops following the manga after season 2. So though I haven't seen it, I'm sure it's not very good, as when a manga is adapted into an anime, and they add in extra stuff that wasn't in the manga, it almost always sucks. I don't see why they wouldn't just continue on with the manga for season 3 though. Perhaps it was waiting for the manga to catch up and then then there wasn't enough reason to do the rest of the series. It's a shame, I really liked the Enishi arc. The Shishio arc was great too though. It would have been just as good a place to stop. Shishio is one of the most epic villains ever. Plus his death was pretty awesome.

Rurouni Kenshin is probably my favorite manga. Then Uzumaki, but RuroKen just holds a special place in my heart ❤️

I remember watching the anime on Adult Swim when I was too young to realize that Adult Swim was for (duh) adults, and then I rediscovered it a little less than a year ago. My bestest friend bought me the first three volumes in one book and that was like homg amazing~ I haven't finished the series, though, so it's a treat to get new volumes. I tried watching the anime, but I couldn't stand the English dub and the Japanese dub isn't posted online u.u But besides the oh-so-terrible voices (Kenshin sounded like a farmer D| ) the anime just wasn't too great.

I think my favorite character is Sanosuke Sagara~ I usually don't like the main character in anime/manga, but Kenshin would probably be my second favorite character. I think KaoruxKenshin is tooo cuuuute.

I remember watching it as a kid, and I have very fond memories of it... I watched the English dub on Adult Swim and only stopped watching it when Adult Swim stopped showing it... I'll make a note to read the manga though.
