I finally made it.. at around level 65 he asked for a few items between 1 mill and 4 mill. then last 2 were 1oo sp lol thats ok with all teh times I got pretty far and didnt spend too much.. woohoo

One day I made the stupid mistake of spending 3mil on three quests that I only got 300k back on. I think there's just a personal limit you have to make for yourself. I won't go over 1mil on one quest just for the achievement, because I'm questing right now. But for a 68k quest, without any other obligations, 800k isn't too bad.
Could be worse.. Level 71 and 72 are ALWAYS Millionaire Center items (even retired ones) So he could ask for The Ether or retired ones that you can't really find anywhere.

I'm very cheap i guess, but i never give Chase something that costs twice what I'd get back from him xD simply because everytime i do he just pulls a 14322432mil item on me the next turn >. <'' but then again I'm doing item hunt for the money not the archievement.
That's up to you, really, but 800k for just the 68k mark is a bit early to be honest :/ It's only going to get worse as you go up, so I would try to spend as little money as possible for as long as you can. That way when he asks for items like that you only have to shell out half as much.
That's my theory anyway.
