Are there any words you thought were bad as a child but later learned there's nothing wrong with them?

Two words I can think of right away are 'forum' and 'ample'... the first time I saw the latter word was in a porn magazine, so that would explain that... as for forum? I have no idea. But, for the longest time, I thought those two words would get me in trouble... but I guess I was just young and stupid. xD

My mom still yells at me for telling my brother to shut up, and I'm 15. O.o He's 12. xD She doesn't like me being rude to him. :P

Oh, and sucker. I dunno why on that one. I had a fishtank, and there was a fish that stuck to the sides, and I called him sucker fish, but then I somehow thought sucker was a bad word, badbadbad word, and never called him that again.

Oh, I remembered a few more. I always used to be afraid to say "rapist" and "pedophile." I was not permitted to swear for most of my life so up until recently I was not even allowed to say "crap" or "stupid" in the house (obvy I was a total rebel outside of the home, swearing up a storm). LOL. Q_Q

i don't know if this is the same but i used to think asl was a bad word, because i thought it was short for asshole.

Up until about 5 or 6 years old, I always thought junction was a bad word.

Yeah, I saw that Family Episode where they sing "Vagina junction, what's your function? Takin' in sperm and spittin' out babies!" xD

Eyeball. My sister and I found it entertaining and ran around screaming eyeball. So then it became a 'bad word' and we would have our mouths washed out for saying it. It was strange. XD

i thought that penis was bad. and saying sucks would get me in trouble. and i thought heck was like, going to send me to hell. one time this kid in my class in first grade was like ''WHAT THE HECK?" and i was all :O OMFG11!!

I thought that poop, pee, and toilet were bad words. xD

In elementary school kids would get in trouble for saying "sex." :x I questioned their logic and received a weeks worth of detention for my curiosity. So I avoided saying it around adults for the longest time. ><

Lmao... I always thought "shut up" or saying "That sucks" as a kid was HORRIBLE. I was never allowed to cuss in my house or in front of my parents. Like even saying "Your dumb/stupid" was not acceptable. I'm 18 and I BARELY cuss in front of my parents now. I say "Crap" or "Damn" occasionally, but I would never say bitch, fuck, shit, ect. I have to much respect for my parents to say those kind of words in front of them haha.

i hated it when people called panties 'underwear' I'M A GIRL, I WEAR PANTIES, so i yelled at my grandparents whenever they said underwear and refused to dress until they said panties.
