Well my dad asked me to put the dishes away about 30 minutes ago. I began and finished about half, I saw that the rest were still a bit wet so I left them to dry. 5 minutes later I ask him when we're watching the movie that we rented, he then proceeds to yell at me for not finishing the dishes and telling me 'They need to be done before the movie, so I can finish washing the pots.'

I guess I was taking too long? Anyways I finish. It's been 15 minutes since and my dad hasn't gotten off his ass. So why yell at me because you had to get these dishes done, then not do them? The asshole needs some anger management classes.

Haha. :P My parents need anger management too. I swear to god, they need to learn how to behave like sane human beings.

Probably impossible though. They're too crazy. And they're both really short-tempered. :c It sucks.

I'd say that my father used to do that when I was a kid, but then he never really offered to do the dishes...or any of the other household chores...ever. He's got that bullshit 1950's attitude toward women when it suits him, and he's got 3 daughters. To him, this means he doesn't have to do housework, he "gave" my mother plenty of helpers already. Lazy asshole.

Anyway, I'm 23 now and my youngest sister is 19. We're all old enough to not take his bullshit anymore. We'll tear into him for being a sexist bastard when he gets into the whole "that's women's work" argument.

You know, I used to hate that kind of crap when I was a kid/teenager especially. But, hindsight is 20/20. It must be frustrating to be a parent, especially of a teenager and having to repeat themselves. We always feel justified, we always feel right, but step outside yourself for a moment and look beyond your own perception of it and see what may be going on with them.

I did the dishes... he asked once I did half and waited 5 minutes for the others to dry. It's not like me not doing them right away affected him in anyway. I didn't lip off, I didn't say 'NO I'm not doing them'. I simply asked when we were watching the movie and then he started yelling.

You&;d not believe it but it&;s a good way to educate us.

You really think a way to teach your children to do what they are told is by yelling and swearing at them?

My dad's not too lazy, but he had to take anger management classes. It's really funny to wake him up in the morning, because he'll always get really pissed and start bitching. He's all right if he wakes up on his own but if someone else wakes him up, god help them. When I was little I'd wake him up by jumping on the bed and "accidentally" stepping on his junk. c:

My brother is like that. ._.

He's 22 and he doesn't have a job. The worst part is that he doesn't even care. He just sits in his room and plays World of Warcraft all day. And my parents allow it because they tried kicking him out but felt bad when he came crawling back. Please. -_-

So anyway, my brother yells at me for not answering the phone. It was some Avon customer wanting my mom, so I figured the answering machine could pick it up since I'd probably forget to tell my mom when she got back anyway. No harm in that, right? My brother seems that it was horrible of me, so he storms in the room saying how I'm lazy and all I do is get online - this pissed me off because, like I said earlier, he's the 22-year-old with no job and he wasn't interested in answering the phone either.

my dad is EXACTLY like that. he's an ass to me.

he yells at me sometimes, because he plays poker on the computer. so whenever i'm on my different account profile, i have to switch user, and tell my friends i have to go. and he flips out, screams at me, gets mad, and then grounds me all because i was too slow? :S and they tell me i need anger management because i tell them they've gone mad.

ah well, >:|

oh i forgot to add that, not only does he tow cars. he sits on his fucking ass everyday drinking a whole case of pepsi, and swearing and beating anybody who touches it.

funny story actually.

My mum has anger issues. She leads a stressful life and can't take it out on anything else than me, obviously, because the rest of the family refuse to take any of her shit.

So I put up with it.

It's not too bad though, I'm staying purely because I want to (and because I can't really afford anything else :P) and I'm hard to upset anyway (this pisses her off even more though :()

Sorry your dad is acting like that. I guess you just have to deal with it until you're old enough to move out, parents don't really ever change.

My brother is 24 and in the same situation haha. Except he plays XBOX not WoW. He doesn't get as angry at me any more because I'm stronger and bigger than him haha.

<p>Yeah...it&;s not fair for you to do your work and him not to do his.

We only have one TV, and he wanted to watch it? I'm not complaning about having to do the dishes, I'm complaining because he freaked out because I waited 5 minutes for them to dry and because they had to be done so he could do the other dishes which he didn't end up doing.
