What is a good amount of books to start out with for the reading drive?

Well...most of the people already have +200 But it would depend on how many things you wanna buy, and how many achievements you wanna get :)
I have like 180 right now, I guess I should buy a little bit more. Thank you!

I have about 320 books right now, but just from stalking the Book Nook, you should be able to get 80 or 100 easy. I started collecting up books a couple months ago, and what I did was just add every book onsite to my wishlist, buy all the cheap ones, and take off all the supersuper expensive ones. I have over 300 books, and I didn't spend more than 500K on any given one.
I'm not buying books actively any more, since I don't have much sP, and I'm fairly content with the amount of books I have. I haven't even decided what I want from the shop, but they might add more stuff anyway.
Maybe I should look through the rest of the books. Some of the ones I tossed off my list might have deflated! :o
If I were you, I wouldn't give myself a limit. Just collect as many as you can. (: When the time to turn them in rolls around, you'll probably end up wanting all the achievements and more of the prizes that they're going to be adding to the Reading Drive Shop. Then you'll end up scrambling at the last minute trying to gather up those points and you might miss something. :P

Once I got over 200 books I became pretty content. I would love to have at least 400 for the achievement but since that most likely won't happen I'll just be satisfied with however many I have now.
Lol. Imma laugh when Keith prices the Malice as 450 books instead of 400. :P So everyone who stopped at 400 wouldn't get it, lol.
I only have 250 or so. I need to get moreee.
