Hm, I'm in something of a pickle, and it's one I'm not sure how to handle.

WAAAAY back on April 6th, I commissioned a very complicated art piece for 20 million. The artist did it, I loved it, and they said that they'd turn it into a pet profile for a small amount more. I agreed. It's been weeks, and that's the last I've heard from them.

I actually found another piece of art I want to use instead for a profile, and tried contacting them a few times to tell them I'll just pay for the art, I didn't need a profile, but they haven't responded. I can't pay them, as they have no trades up, and it's a little hard to send 20 mil though vouchers.

So I have this beautiful piece of art, I can't pay the artist . I don't feel right displaying it if I haven't paid for it yet, but I absolutely adore it and want to keep it.

Anyways, just wanted to complain about that little problem. I've had artist disappear on me after I commission them before, but I've never had one disappear on me while I was trying to pay them.

Hiatus happens, just watch them closely and when they're online, jump on them like a lion would jump on a gazelle. vs deathmatch

Eh, they have one of those hidden status things, so they're like a ninja and I can't see them. sighs

But I will pay them! looks determined They'd better watch out! They're going to get that 20 mil if they want it or not!

Mm they could have just forgot or maybe they are really busy offline? That is very odd o__o hopefully you hear from them very soon.

I wouldn't really say it's in their favor as they really appreciate the piece of art the artist drew for them and feel like they should get the sP for it.

I have to say some people are odd sometimes and maybe you'd need to constantly look out for them (maybe?). As others said, it's really odd that they don't seem to be responding when you're quite willing to give them the 20m sooner or later.

Pfff, you're just some kind of a wonderful person, aren't you XD Sure, you need to pay for it, but your persistence is.. Admirable :P

Just try to show them that you've made every effort to pay them, and if they don't respond in a week or so, start using it.. If they ever come back, you can still pay, and they'll definitely know that you've done your best. =/

Just consider it a gift :) But if you want to pay, just keep annoying them til they finally give up and let you pay :P

I've paid more. ^_^; And this one is a really complicated one of my pet Legend in a badass battle pose with the three dragon-like legendaries behind him in a background, Hiryuu, Hydrus, and Pyroclastus.

I just feel bad, because this one must've taken a LOT of effort and time to create. It's quite detailed.

I don't see why it would be a problem using it. Maybe make a ticket and make sure that's okay, and that you do plan on paying when/if you get the chance!

Meh, might as well display it. It's not like I'm stealing it or anything, and I'm giving full credit...

It's darn hard sitting on this 20 mil, though, and not spending it. ^_^;

I would mail them and ask them if they could put up a trade the next time they're on so that you can pay them. Maybe find their DeviantArt too, if you can..?

You shouldn't feel bad about displaying it, it's not your fault that you haven't paid yet.

Actually, their last post was way back when I first commissoned them. ^_^; There's absolutely no sign that they've been on since they finished the art.

I dunno, I'm sure things come up in real life. I'm just wondering how long to hold onto this sP.

Uh... Maybe pay them in items? xD Easy to sell/trade items or WL items?

That's my best suggestion in this case since it is a little bit unusual.

I was curious to see what cost 20mill, so I'm glad you've got it on display. You seem to be doing everything you can to pay the artist, so you shouldn't feel guilty. (But yes, it would be hard not to spend that.)
