Hello there! After long last, I got the video clips I wanted on my computer. Now, I realize they're all .Mp4! I can't figure out how to convert them, so Windows Movie Maker is able to use them. I've found many sites claiming they can convert the video for me, but I don't know which ones to trust. I've also seen all these things about codecs, but I'm clueless as to what they are. Oh yes, I use Windows Vista.
Anyone know a safe site or a way of conversion? Thanks!
[edit] http://www.free-codecs.com/vista_codec_package_download.htm I downloaded that package, after some help from youtube. Yet, it says it still can't be imported. :(
First, don't use codec packages. I've heard nothing but nasty rumors about those things.
Secondly, try this
It's a youtube downloader, used to get videos off youtube. It's not illegal, I've been using it for years. Even if you don't wanna download stuff, it has a converter built in and should be able to convert your videos into a format WMM can use.
Also, I know it's safe because I've had this particular downloader on both my desktop and laptop computers and it's never given me any problems. It's easy to use and it does the job.
Good luck, hope it helps.
