what are the rules on these? could one make a random topic in the chit chat and talk almost like as if in a private message? it's annoying me that i'm so far behind on the posts, but i'm not fond of jumping forum to forum. verdict?

Chit Chat is basically for anything, so I don't see why not.

But I find the easiest way to get a quick post count is to play games in the games forums. User-Run Games GA Games And Avatar Contests & Games. Most are pretty lame in that last one, but they're all easy to play and you'll have a lot of posts by the end of the day even if you're not as chatty as someone like me.
