I think adding the whole art by: user looks ugly in forumsets, which is why I don't have one there. It's on my profile. I don't see a problem with that?

I agree, i hate that :( Also when people have overlays and stuff with no credit and I know they didn't do it themselves. Is it really so much trouble to put a single line in your pet's profile with "overlay by ___"?

ugh, that's irritating ): i know it bothers me when i see my banners used without credit (though with gfx it's not that big of a deal, i guess), so i can't imagine how annoying it must be for an artist to see their art un-credited! :c

Well you're not obliged to name the artist.. It's polite, I agree, but since you paid for the art it's technically yours. (right?)

I credit artists myself, don't get me wrong ;)

I agree with VULGAR btw; just putting all the credits on your profile is way easier as well ;)

This is exactly what I do when I have art in mine!

I'm not really into the whole art scene on Subeta, but I have to agree with the above statement. Once you've bought it it's yours so I don't see why it's absolutely necessary to have to give credit.

When you go out to the store and buy a piece of art for your home do you write on the wall below it "Art By..."?

Personally, I don't credit because I think it looks ugly and takes away from the overall appeal of the forumset.

If someone asks who did the art, I'll kindly direct them to the artist's profile. shrug But, that's just me. Nothing to get terribly upset about imo. XD

It's all a matter of opinion really. But some people do keep their art/thanks/credits usually on their profile or a pet lookup. And most of the time the pictures have a nice visible (and stylish) signature to label credit anyway.

I drew the art in my forumset, idfk why I'd need to put ART BY ME LOLOSLSOSLS in my profile at all. When I have art from other people in it, I either credit them when people ask or more likely put it on my profile; either way I'm not taking credit for it, so why does it matter?

It does bother me when people don't credit at all though. shrugs

I don't mind not being credited. Maybe I am a little more laid back, but even if I am not credited for work I did for someone, I can appreciate that it was a job well done, and that they seem to be enjoying it.

I mean, I know I did it, they know I did it, but I don't necessarily think anyone else needs to know. If they like the style, cool - Comment the person and ask.

I credit because it only seems right to me I don't think there is anything wrong with having credits on a profile But at least give credit somewhere

I saw someone who said they had credits on their profile and then didn't That did upset me a little, but it's not like I would say anything It's their choice, even if I don't agree with it

You know, I never noticed this before. But now that you've pointed it out, I whole-heartedly agree with you. It's good manners to credit people who've taken the time to draw art for you and all it needs is a little mention in a siggy. Then again, I've noticed I use good manners a lot, maybe TOO much so maybe it's just me.

But yep, I'm agreeing with you 100% on this.

I wish more artists would sign/put their name on art :P I guess some people think it detracts from the art itself (and in profile graphics and other things like that it does) but for regular drawings it's incredibly convenient to just be able to go "oh, their name is on the image" since that way you don't HAVE to have credit up.

Personally I don't really care if you don't give credit in the forumset IF you put the credit on your profile or something. But it irks me a lot to only find the pic is hosted on tinypic with no credit given anywhere (esp if I can't recognize the artist's style). Then yeah, it kinda bugs me.

Although I always give credit where credit is due, even if it's not requested by the artist (such as my profile), I figure if the artist wanted to be credited, they would sign their work. I've seen plenty of signed art in forumsets and profiles and overlays, and I don't think it takes anything away from the art.

NO credit sucks, yes. But I think it's fine to put it on your profile like VULGAR said. It really bugs me a lot when there is no credit at all. :/

I can understand why some people don't want it in their forum sets, but when they don't put it anywhere, then that's just rude.
