I like them, but not that much :3 my sister's got an album of them, and sometimes I listen to it. by the way, Know Your Ennemy rocks -

Great that you like it :D.
Haha, well it's nice sometimes to check out old stuff nods. You don't have to be really into them, just check it out... anyway, it's just informational for everybody who is interested.
I haven't even heard the single because I am trying not to listen to anything until the album is officially released...

Wow, that's awesome to see! It's nice when someone who said they hated them actually comes around and gives them a try, haha. So I take it you like the albums that you have? I have all of the full length albums personally... I love them, obviously. I know I'm going to love 21st Century Breakdown even though I've never heard it. It's not blind faith - it's understanding the way the band works... haha.
And it's nice to see you use the proper name of the song "Good Riddance"... people call it "time of your life"... and it seems like they get the totally wrong thing from it.

Haha, nice. Well their cover of that song isn't the best cover in the world but... it's fun. And it's definitely them (from that time).
I think they would do "A Quick One" well, actually. There is a version of them doing it when they were playing with the Foxboro Hot Tubs. Look it up on Youtube... it's not bad.
Haha, it doesn't bother me when people use it as a graduation song... it just amuses me.

I grew up in the 90s listening to basically Green Day's Dookie. They have had great releases since that album but that has to be their greatest and one Ill always remember.
I like the lyrics especially to Basket Case and the story behind Longview is hilarious
Yeah, it's a good album. American Idiot has to be my favorite so far. This next one might be competition like that...
But I actually was listening to Dookie when it was out as well, but it was via my older sisters. I was only a small child at that time. It was the first album that I bought, though, of theirs, in 2004.

I think International Superhits was the first album I ever bought myself, I think I was 12? It was the first rock band I had ever become a big fan of (excluding the Beatles, if you count them). They were sort of a 'gateway drug' to better music :B
It's so long in between albums that I don't listen to them as much and find other things to listen to, but every time they release something new I dust off Nimrod and Dookie and get hooked all over again. Plain and simple, they're just good at what they do (: I'll definitely be heading to the store for 21st Century Breakdown.
Awesome! Yeah, they do have a while between records, but that's because Billie Joe is a perfectionist who doesn't want to just mail in a new record.

Yes, it did indeed just come out, and let me tell you, I just a few minutes ago got finished listening to it for the first time, and it is totally tight (I mean that in the sense that it is very complete and there is nothing astray on it) and it is above and beyond anything they have done before.

I personally think it's better than anything they've ever done, and I like all of their records.
Szumpi: That's awesome! I know, I got to listen to the record and it truly was amazing.

Yeah, I like the Network-y feel to "Christian's Inferno". I think the punk spirit is still there, as much as it has ever been but I have to respect them for not being restricted to one specific sound.

Love Green Day completely, been into them ever since the mid/late nineties. Just bought their new album yesterday and am in love all over again. I like it very much, but it's not too much like the early stuff, if that's what anyone is expecting.
No, it's not like the early stuff - that means they're growing as a band!

Yeah, that's definitely understandable. Everyone has their tastes. I was just lucky because the direction in which they changed their sound this time around just expanded upon the elements that I already loved about their music.
This one is very emotionally provoking for me, the reason being that I would really like to identify with the Gloria character, and I like the character very much, and the dynamic between the two of them.

yeah i love greenday but i detest 21 century brakedown otherwise there awesome
Detest... well you're the first person to actually detest it, other people just seem to be disappointed by it. I think it's the best thing they've done to date.
