Ya so I am failing geometry. I am so mad because i have let myself get really lazy in that class.

K now I need ur help. How do I get myself to stop being lazy? Everytime i think about doing my homework i shrug it off and do something else.

I understand everything my teacher is saying I am just really really lazy.

Right now I need to get at least a b on my next test to pass the class. Grr

I do my homework during my easy/pointless classes like health, also you might want to try moving to a study hall and see if giving yourself time to do your math homework (without having to take it home) helps.

Getting others to encourage/annoy you into studying and doing homework may help as well.

My best tip would be to have a certain period of time each day when you will (NO exceptions) do your homework. Even if you have none that particular day, do something else that's dull and has to do with school.

Clear your desk of any distractions (or go to the library to study) especially unplug all computers. Surround yourself with ONLY maths stuff, calculators, books, whatever.

Also, try to divide the workload into manageable bites. Say, you study one part and do x number of questions and then have a mini-break, it'll help you concentrate.

Good luck :) it only gets worse as you get older so it's a good thing to try to get into good study habits as quickly as possible.

I failed Geometry too! Yay! But yeah, just give yourself a specified time to do your work. Do not allow yourself to do other things.

Ya I know. I really need to get myself to do my homework. So far I have precalculus and algebra II next year with chemistry and physics. i need to start doing my homework now so i dont screw myself up next year

I'm basically failing all of my classes right now. (43% on my weekly report) I had a friend tutor me after school today, and it really helped out. It's hard for me to help, because my math classes aren't boring, I'm just slacking off because my grade 8 gead trip is in 13 days, so I feel very bored ._. So basically, get someone who does good in school and won't slack off to work with you, it helps.

I passed the class last year. How can I help now?
