Hi i need to write a description about a festivity, and a friend of mine suggested me to write about halloween.The problem is that i had never have a halloween night i just know about it throuh the movies, so i would need some topics of it Thanks :D for your help

I think most people can either relate to Halloween being really spooky or fun. I personally always had fun on Halloween cause I got to chow down on candy with my sister and friends :3

Anyway, I associate Halloween with the following: Costumes - trying to think of ideas and actually pulling them off, deciding to dress up at the last minute Trick or Treating - bugging your neighbors for candy and getting mad when they give you Smarties Haunted Houses - either a real "haunted" house or the ones hosted by a neighbor with smoke machines and flickering lights + that guy with a chainsaw Horror Movies - come Halloween, horror movies play like crazy Pumpkins & Black Cats - the two biggest icons imo for Halloween

Argentina´s traditional christman

Every December the 8th , Argentinean families get together to decorate the leafy fir tree with colorful ornaments and twinkle lights, as soon as they finish they put the traditional sparkling star on its top. Under this tree, two week later during the night, a characteristic fat, with red apple cheeks man named as “Papa Noel” will leave candies and toys for the obedient children, or a piece of stoned coal for those(who had been) mischievous. Conversely than other countries , where traditionally children have to wait until the next morning, the lucky, argentine children will open their gifts at midnight while the adults drinking a toast with bubbly cider as well as choose for tasting between a paste made by almond and nuts called “ turron” or a fluffy cake with various dehydrated fruit as known as “Pan dulce”

A few gramatical errors but I think it's a very a good description for the Argentina Christmas - boy, I'd like to open my gifts early too instead of trying to sneak a peak after midnight xD

I believe it's incorrect because linking words with "and" need to be in the same tense.

I'd re-write the sentence to say: "...adults drink to a toast with bubbly cider and choose to taste either a paste made by almond and nuts called “ turron” or a fluffy cake with various dehydrated fruit as known as “Pan dulce.”
