From what I understand, the Robe of the Phoenix should heal 50 HP... but when I equip it to my battle pet, none of my HPs are restored. Is this happening to anyone else?

Also, is the Red Rreign Staff of Lore better than the Robe of the Phoenix. I see that they both heal 50 HP. Thanks for your help!

Who are you fighting? Some of the npcs have healing disabled.

Sorry it took me so long to get back here. LOL, I was reading your excellent guides to battling. Let's see, I was fighting the Mini Gelatins that got released earlier for the Achievement.

Hmmm. That's odd. Are you using it on the first move before you take damage because the heal only kicks in after you are hurt.

I just tested it and it worked just fine for me against him.

I was using it on the first move in fights where I was already down a few hit points. Example: I entered a fight with 143/152 HPs, equipped my Robe of the Phoenix, didn't take any additional damage, and still had 143/152 HPs when the battle was over.

It's probably because the npc is doing damage to you each move. It's healing you the nine points you were down on the last move and then the npc does more damage on top that that move. So you have 143 it heals you nine to 152 but at the same exact time the npc hit you for let's say five so you would have 147 by the end of the first move. Hope that makes sense.
