In front of the place that I live. SUCH BULLCRAP.
I parked backwards because my window doesn't roll up and the creeper dudes working on the house across the street could easily take ALL OF MY STUFF (which is a lot, including my 360 and stuff in the trunk) by just reaching in and unlocking it. So logically, parking it so that window was curbside AWAY from them would be a good idea, and I mean really, it's MY HOUSE.
The annoying thing? I got the ticket for being parked too far away, NOT for being backwards.
Anyone else being financially raped by cops recently?
Today I was driving my mini-van on the way to Wal-mart. Don't get me wrong, I do this every Wednesday. It all appeared to be normal, but all was not normal when I arrived. The second I got out of the car I was being screamed at by two white officers who had been at the main gate. They claimed I never stopped at the sign right before the entrance and asked for my license and registration. Being the kind and courteous American citizen I am, I reached into my pocket where I had kept the newly given documentation. Mind you, I just got out of the dealership with my brand new 2009 Honda Odyssey. They hardly gave so much as a glance at the documentation before the started shouting at me. "Thief!" one of the officers shouted, the other plummeting his way towards me. At that point, I had grown so nervous I nearly wet myself. Unsure of their actions, I began to shout back. "What on earth are you talking about!?" The only thing I was curious about was as to what I had done wrong. The officers never gave me an answer and began to reach for what my people have long known to be 'AFRICAN' beaters. I freaked out and ran for my car. Luckily, I had made it inside, but it wasn't long before they busted their way through my window. At that point, I had 911 on my cell and had told them about everything. Unfortunately, the white officers didn't care about getting caught and thrown in jail so they continued on. There I lay, being beaten by the authority I so once loved very much. Drowning in my own blood, the cops arrived. It was at that moment my mom got scared and said "You're moving with your auntie and your uncle in Bel-air."
The cops where I live harass kids. I'm not just saying this because I'm 14.
My mom was dropping me off at the middle school, and we passed by the high school. In the fucking parking lot, a high school student got pulled over by a cop. In the parking lot. They weren't speeding or anything like that.
Another time my friends and I were walking to the state fair, and a couple of my friends were playing around and one pushed another into the side of the road. The cop randomly zoomed up to us and gave us this lecture about how we were j-walking.
Shouldn't they be spending their time looking for people like my neighbors who do drug deals almost daily? :/
Dude, what! I'd be pissed.
I remember I was driving by my place really slowly, waiting for my boyfriend to come out with the shopping list we forgot. I was driving slowly, and then some stupid ugly cop came and stopped and was like STOP THE CAR I'M GIVING YOU A TICKET FOR BEING PARKED IN A RESIDENTIAL STREET (Nobody was trying to pass me as it is a super quiet street during the day and there was enough room if they needed to) I was like... WHAT? STOP THE CAR BECAUSE YOU'RE TICKETING ME FOR BEING PARKED WHEN...WHAT?! Made NO sense so I just drove away.
My boyfriend called and was like Where did you go and why is there a car-cop infront of our building :P
I assumed he would have sent me a ticket in the mail but one never came, which was nice. I guess he realized how stupid he was being.
My guess is drugs if he wasn't speeding. Quite common at high school. -_-
My parents finally got ticketed for not wearing their seat belts when they went out a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure where else the law applies, but in Illinois we have the 'click-it or ticket' law.
And just last Thursday my friend got pulled over by a state cop for going 70 in a 55 (he has a 2004 mustang, guess he doesn't notice how fast he's going? :o). Surprisingly he let him off with a warning. Kind of sucked where we got pulled over at though since we were right in the turn lane to the road his house is on..
Oh. That sucks! D:
My friend got a parking ticket last week lol. He took up two parking meters when parking XD
When I went to visit my sister at UMD, the girl I drove down with had a handicap sticker and parked in the handicap spot. We left in my sister's car and came back and realized that the car was gone. The police towed a fucking HANDICAPPED person's car because she didn't have a CP sticker on it.
what douchebags.
I like quite a few cops, keep me safe..
A friend of mine just got a ticket for not wearing his seatbelt and speeding, he got mad when I laughed at him.
omg, , that really sucks :(
I got a ticket on campus (not a real police-issued parking ticket, per se) but I talked my way out of it by saying I got my books taxed out of my vehicle a few days earlier (tru fax) and their ''security'' sucked, so I shouldn't have to pay for the ticket. Needless to say, it worked!
Cleared by staff. Too tall.
