$ W0RD$ L!K3 D!$. (say words like this) it truley gets on my freaking last nerve. especially in text messaging, it kinda gets annoying. i mean, every once and awhile is OOKAYYY....i guess. but i have friends who do it all the time and it makes me want to cut them>.> whats your opinion?

ALSO: are zebras white with black stripes or black with white stripes?

I know. Why do people think that looks cool? D: Same with the whole adding tons of letters on the end of each word. "Ohhhhh heyyyyy! how aree youuuu todayyy?"

Oh, and I think they're white with black stripes. :o

Luckily I don't communicate with anyone who types like that, lol. Try and do the same back, but switch the letters with characters that don't quite fit...like # for H, so they can be confused instead.

Zebras are neither, as there is no 'overlapping' of white and black - one isn't on top of the other, so there isn't a base colour...as far as I know, anyway.

It really doesn't bug me too much, but I'm not one to dictate how another chooses to type. When I go trolling I type like that (only for the lulz).

Zebras..are weird.

I see zebras as white with black stripes.

And I don't have a lot of friends who text like that. I do have friends who text/msn using our local dialect, which is fucking annoying. Especially since there are no clear rules as to how it should be written DX

I always type full words and sentences :D

Zebras are white with black stripes, I'd say.

And ack. D: I can't stand that. I have to sit there staring at the sentence for a full minute so I can decode its meaning.

Yep. I can understand saying things like "u" for "you" when you're texting because it does save space, but things like that just make you look retarded.

I don't have a problem with it. If people attempt to text me writing like that, I won't reply. Sooner or later they'll get the hint.

They're black with white stripes.

It's annoying. I can't even read that, and isn't it more efficient to just use regular letters anyway ? I have a friend who types '0' instead of a regular 'o' and it's like... really ? Wouldn't it be faster just to type a regular 'o'?

"Hey Tori, let's go to the pool" ends up looking like 'hey t0ri let's go to the p00l'. I don't get why someone would go through all the extra work.

It really messes me up, as I'm mildly dyslexic. I know what they're trying to say, but my brain has a very hard time decoding it, so I usually just refuse to try. Proper English is not that hard to type out, and doesn't it take these people longer to type that way? It can't honestly be any more efficient.

stuff like that gets on my nerves. it's cute when they're doing it for emphasis, or when they like bust into a mood, but all the time - no.

zebra's are white with black stripes. some people try to twist it into a race issue, but it's just that on paper, i draw in the black parts of the zebra (the stripes).

It only annoys me when it becomes overdone and harder to read. I don't mind the occasional chatspeak, but please don't use it obsessively... especially on forums. Texting between a friend is fine as long as they don't mind it, but when you're typing something that lots of people you may not know will read, try to make it readable. I don't want to waste my time deciphering stf lyk dis whr it lks lyk ur rtrdid or sumthin.
