My grandparents are watching the CMA's or something and they have the T.V turned up REALLY loud. Louder than usual. I don't really like country music and I'm listening to my own music with my headphones. SO. I have my music turned up as long as it can possibly go and my grandma turns up her T.V louder as if she knew how loud I had my music turned up and is just trying to annoy me.

Any ANNOYING people annoying you right now?

...why can't you post a single positive post? :( maybe she's just having fun with you? or...you know...she's old and has a harder time hearing like most older people.

Maybe she's trying to see if you'll be interested in the music and maybe you two will have something to talk about ? It's quite possible she's only doing that for attention so maybe you'll go talk to her or watch it with her.

Turn your music down, and maybe she'll turn hers down.

If not, there's nothing wrong with asking politely for her to turn it down.

Dear god, can you go a week without bashing your elders on the internet?

How about going over there and telling your grandparents that the television is a little too loud, and that you are having trouble hearing your music? Rather than communicating at us every time there's an issue with them why not communicate with them?

I'm sure you already have an excuse prepared as to why that isn't a satisfactory solution, however.

Or you could get off the computer (oh god plsplspsls do so) and go somewhere else in the house with a door that you can close if you wont ask her to turn it down.

If it bugs so much leave the room.

That advice is mainly because I doubt she will turn it down less, so if you can not change your mind either grin and bear it (strike the grin of course) than go somewhere else.

and yeah, your grandmother can just use her evil grandma powers to sense how much volume you can hear from your headphones, so she just made the television slightly louder just to spite you.

Wait wait wait, you were wearing headphones? Then, unless your headphones are utter crap, you shouldn't have too much of a problem hearing your own music. Aaaaaand, if you're not watching the TV, why do you need to be in the room?You're just listening to music.

But anyway, the others have already said it for me. Cut your grandparents some slack, they probably can't hear the tv. If it annoys you that much, get off the computer for a bit and go in another room.

Erm, I don't like to hear/read people talk bad about their grandparents, because two of mine are dead, and one is dying... Just go to a different room, or ask them to turn it down... I mean, grandparents don't bite! Or, deal with it, ya know they will go off eventually.
