Apparently, IIDX 17 is called Sirius. The theme for this style will be space. I'd say it's an okay transition from Empress though I still have yet to play it. I'll have to wait until the songlist gets released before I say anything. RED through Empress were great games; now I'd like to see how Sirius turns out.

Here's a basic question for all IIDX players here on Subeta (I know you're out there. Somewhere...). What do you think the extra stage will be like? What artists are you looking forward to making a comeback? Most of all, do you think Konami will bring this to the U.S. just like they did with Gold a couple of years ago?

I love IIDX :) Empress apparently wasn't that great, so IIDX might be declining a bit.

There's the location test songlist that released...it seems relatively normal. For the extra stage...I'm reminded from the DDR Supernova game master mode...so maybe it'll be planets and constellations?

I'm not much of a player, but I'm really into the character designs X3 Sometimes I wish it was more mainstream so I could actually get the chance to play it more often. ;~; The closest machine is... uh 4th style. And over an hour away. whine

I'm actually looking forward to Empress being released, I have the soundtrack and the songs sound good so far. Hopefully it goes on the PPS2 instead of the PS3. I don't feel like shelling out $400 just for one game.

As for Sirius, yes I'm sure there will be stuff by Wac on there. He's made some good songs in the past; Piano Concerto no. 1, Ganymede, and recently Himiko shudder. Have you seen the Himiko notechart; imagine what the dark another chart will look like when it gets released. I just want them to bring IIDX Sirius location test to the U.S.!

@ december, you should get the home versions of IIDX like I have. At least you have a machine close to you, the closest for me are hours away. I have 10th style, Happy Sky, DistorteD, and Gold. IIDX is really fun, and really challenging, once you get into it. And yes the characters look amazing, especially Iroha :3
