Now, I've dealt with milky water before by either water changes or treatments, but this time, nothing's working.

For two weeks now, the water has been very cloudy, and foam has coated the top of the water. I had recently swaped filters because my old one broke, but that was almost two months ago now. I checked the filters, repalced what needed to be replaced, but still, the water conditions have not improved.

My water is balanced (though I'm having some trouble keeping my pH stable for more than a day), I've tried countless water changes, and I've treated with one or two different products. Still, it's the same, if not worse. My main concern is this foam/bubbles that have formed. It's almost a good inch thick layer across the top that I'm constantly having to remove.

The fish don't appear to be sick or anything, but I've had times where they've all suddenly gone belly up. I'm just curious to know if anyone has any ideas as to what could be wrong, and what I can do to fix it.
