Do you, or would you, ever use a pseudonym? If so, what for and why would you use it?

Mine’s Torey Hylton which is based on my real name. It would be nice to see that name on the front cover of a book, which is something I hope to one day achieve. I chose it because my real name’s boring so I thought I’d choose a trendy variant of it to spice it up.

So, does anyone else use a pseudonym?

On the interwebs, I go by Jenny Jayne. -points to username- :P It's a play on my real-life first and middle names.

I don't think it'll ever be on anything beside the internet, however.

Maggie... anything. I use it for writing that I post on websites... because who wants creeps on their Facebook page?

I got it from a nickname I used to have: Magpie (because they're really messy, lazy and like shiny things. XD )

Would using one for a phone number count (I say this because I've done it before when a guy asked my number :o). "Hello, is Stella there?" "No? I think you have the wrong number."

I'm not tough enough to just say no. :x

Oh, dude, I've been wanting one for a while! Hell, if I wanted to I could tell people my fake name on the internet and no one would ever know if it was the real name or the fake one!

I use Dan Galbraith a lot. Danielle is my real first name (and my nickname is Dan) and my real last name also begins with G :)

i had a fake name i went by on neopets because i thought that anyone knowing the first letter of my name could track me down (or would even bother trying) lol :'D

arinya flores. lmfao. flores is actually my grandma's maiden name though.

other than that, fake names are really dumb and pretty easy to spot.

Kyuubi. It's what everyone knows me as on the internet. I was a Naruto freak in 6th grade, okay? XD

Normally, I go by Kyu nowadays. :)

Oh, I completely forgot to add /why/ I use it. I use it because of the content of some of the art that I draw. I'd rather not have my family looking up my name and see the kind of things that people pay me to draw. <w<

Well my significant other calls me by it as a nickname from time to time IRL. I have two pen names actually. Evelyn Helfeather as well. He more commonly called me Evie than Sheela as a nickname. Sorry if I'm posting too much. <<

I like Evelyn Helfeather. It's kinda oldyworldy.

Yeah, she's a character too. My persona of the humanoid persuasion. She's an elf so it's supposed to sound a bit more flowery and old.

Ana is actually mine, i guess. it's been a nickname to me for a long time, and my real name is next to impossible to spell/pronounce.
