i love hot topic, deal with it

I honestly think they have the ugliest clothes ever.

All of the scene kids at my school wear Hot Topic every day. It's the more super-bright "OMGLOLZLOOKATME" stuff, which I personally think is tacky.

um. no.

some of the female models are kinda pretty, but, the clothes are just unfashionable and iffy.

and by unfashionable, i mean, how likely is it that the clothing sold there would appear on a high fashion catwalk, or in vogue or other high fashion magazines?

unlikely.

We don't have a Hot Topic in England, but when I went to Florida for a holiday we went to the Florida Mall. There was a Hot Topic there and I got a couple of tops from there - they were cute ones. One had a Pikachu on, another had a little Cookie Monster in the middle. :)

I only really buy their Invader Zim stuff, usually when it's on clearance. Gawd, I love that show so much.

Haha, I did find a super epically awesome Jimi Hendrix shirt there once.... but it was kinda expensive.

OH YEAH, I also bought a Death Note shirt there to get free movie tickets. haha.

So anyway, they have some pretty cool stuff and some stuff that just makes me go "seriously, guys?"

I kind of love Hot Topic, but the one near me has more band tees. Like...80s stuff as well as the newer stuff. (Otherwise I wouldn't have my prized Aerosmith shirt). That and I like -some- of the anime merch. (I collect Fullmetal Alchemist keychains. Don't judge me! I just happen to still love FMA...)

I only go there to buy band tee's and shoes. Other than that, I don't like it much anymore.

Skinny jeans are like THE thing right now. d: Or at least among like 80% of people in most places. d:

I've personally never been inside a Hot Topic, and don't really plan on it, because it looks kind of scary, but I know they have band tees and stuff, so that'd be the main reason I'd ever go in..

I really like the clothes, but like...most of them are for anorexic skinny fucking emo kids. And I have a rather large ass, and it isn't gonna fit in size 0 bullshit. Or else i'd waste a lot of money there.

I love them for their scarves, stockings, lingerie, heels, accessories, dresses and female shirts with things like Pokemon, Charlie the Unicorn, Flapjack, etc on it.

But I hate them for the parachute pants, massive amounts of Twilight apparel, the Naruto accessories, trench coats, goth boots and the shirts that have stupid sayings on them like, "I'm sorry, I was too busy ignoring you" or''I can't hear you without a beer in my hand'.' Which makes no sense to me, btw. Usually people that are drunk don't really care for what you're saying.

I mostly just hate the goth style in general. Fingerless gloves, parachute pants, and spiked collars make me vomit.

And their hair dye sucks.

I kind of wanted those, but wanted the hot pink ones with the black leaopard print more. xD

There are these shoes at my store that I want. They're blue heels/pumps with comic book style girls on them.

It's sad to think I thought that stuff was cool 3 years ago. -_-

I usually just walk in there to look around anymore. I can't recall the last purchase I've made there other than those cheap hair extensions (which were returned in the end) and a Save the Music bag that fell apart as soon as I tried using it.

I don't have much of a problem with it; it's the kids who try to flaunt how "cool" it is to shop there as if they're the only ones that bugs me. Whenever they see each other, one gets all defensive and acts like the other person stole their style. Hot Topic is a commercial store, what did you expect?

I like it for some stuff. (like shirts and accessories) but I prefer shops like American Eagle, (❤❤) Abercrombie, Aeropostale, Delia's, etc.

One word to describe that store: tacky.

I have yet to find anything there that looks remotely decent. Everything just looks cheap too. I mean, I'm not rich, I'm all for buying reasonably priced clothes, but there are hundreds of other places to buy quality, stylish clothes for the ridiculous prices that they charge at Hot Topic.

Plus most of the 'trends' there are ridiculous. Twilight, those skeleton animals, the creepy gothic fairy shirts just... yuck. There's this kid in my Chem class with a Charlie the Unicorn shirt and it's just ridiculous. It's like... GROW UP.

The only things I have from there is a hello kitty shirt that was a gift (it's the thought that counts, right), and a pair of old regular denim skinny-jeans, that were my ex boyfriend's.

It's not really my style, but I shop there occasionally, if I see something cute (and by that, I mean G.I.R.) through the shop window. Sometimes I'll buy knee-high socks or shoelaces from there, but that's about the extent of it. Everything else just has too much going on for one article of clothing, ya know?

Sometimes they have cute stuff in there. But my style has become more "grown-up" over the years. (Not that grown ups can't dress that way!) I still break out my cute character tees now and then but that's it. I do buy keychains and key covers there though. I just think they're adorable!

I don't understand why some people have such a hatred for the people who shop there though. They like something you don't. Get the hell over it. Same for people who just automatically hate "preps" and any other style.

Skinny jeans soooo don't help balance out my hips. I much prefer a boot cut to any other style of pants personally. Besides, most people I see in skinny jeans should NOT be wearing them. I wouldn't get violent on them though...

I have never even been to Hot Topic XD And I don't like to judge something I don't know anything about. I buy my clothes mostly from goodwill and target(yay for cheap!).As for skinny jeans?Better that short shorts.And that is all I have to say.

I like hot topic for their accessories and their character t-shirts. I got my nightmare before christmas tee from there. One of my friends bought me a cute death t-shirt for christmas there too.. but the shirt itself is at home.

Personally I do like some of their clothes, namely the scarfs, shirts, accessories, things of that nature. I do not however like most of their recent pants, mostly because they're all skinny jeans... I liked it when they weren't, but eh.. they used to have some really cool just sort of grungy non-skinny jeans, but there's not that many of those on the website anymore.

I usually don't really shop there except to buy character shirts and stuff of that nature though, mostly because of the cost.
