i think they're from battling the released monsters (what'stheirnames??).

If you click 'Use Item' on a Dripping Gelatin Vial you'll get one. (Not 'use on pet' because then it's just a stat booster.)

The Dripping Gelatin Vial is the prize for defeating Gelatin Golem. Which has been training hard since it last invaded and is now really tough.
