the hair is wacked out from the hat. the bit sticking out from behind...and I think the problem's not only the navy dispersion; I think you need some grey on top and black on the bottom. One thing I really notice about it is that the top half is so simple, and the bottom, you have plaid, laces, a band of black under the flats...

You said the BG was cutting off part of your HA? Did you not have the BG layered all the way to the bottom?
