i already looked in the really helpfull "how to do hover images"-board and the code works fine still i have some issues placing them somewhere outside the columns

i need to add i'm a newbe with using div's in subeta profiles, i think that's the reason why the positioning is just somehow wrong xD (i want them a bit under the lines of the profile section)

also i want to ask if you put the hover-code-things in the profile coding or if you do it seperately?

aaaaand: is there a trick to get the coordinates (in pixel) of the place you want to put your columns and such? or does it need to be trial and error!

First: If you're using all three of your profile columns and they are all set to scroll you can't position a Div outside of them.

The hover code goes directly in the coding.

Positioning is pretty much trial and error, once you get the hang of it you can make pretty good estimates. There are a few other methods but it's a lot easier to just make a guess and alter from there.

okay first of all. i'll go and check if i have all column scrolling. maybe that's the mistake ^^

thank you for the advices. and it's good to know that i really haven't done more work than i actually needed. after doing it a few times i got pretty good at guessing =)

for looking at my coding just go to my profile and do right-click and then click view source. the part i've written should be all gray!

now what i wanted to do: i want to have some buttons a bit under the section with the main-profile part. when having the mouse on top of the buttons i want them to change images. i tried the coding from the help board and the hovering effect works perfectly. still i wasn't able to get the buttons out of the profile-part (where i have the profile section)

then i tried to take the normal html-coding stuff from the div-box out of the profilecoding (cause the profile sections deleted it anyways) and put it into a seperate blanc section, in the 3rd NOT SCROLLING collumn.
