So subeta, I just started driving And the gas prices are now REALLY affecting me, and I'm curious. Where are you from and how much does it cost per gallon there?

I'm from Michigan, but I like really close to the beach, Lake Michigan Beach that is. And our gas is $2.94 a gallon right now.

We have a lot of tourists this time of year, so I think it will just keep going up.

I live in lower Michigan and the last time I was out, (yesterday) I saw that it was $2.78 a gallon. :c

This is going to suck when I start driving in 2-3 years (I'm 14 years old right now).

Right now it's about... 8 US$ a gallon? Took a while to work out...fucking volume conversions and then currency conversions. (UK, btw)

unless UK is fuckcrazy (hey. that might be), gas, at it's peak last year, was near 5$ a gallon.

You mean $5 in UK? I thought the peak was £5...which would be about $8 (although, more at the time because the exchange rate was not the same). Then again, there is a chance I may be entirely mistaken, but I'm pretty sure it was £5 a gallon.

Uhhh.....2.60-ish? It was almost 5 bucks here last year so this is a definate improvement. in february it hit 1.62 though. then it went back up. im stuck in middle-of-nowhere-nevada though. there ain't much up here in the north half of nevada.

Yea it hit nearly 5 dollars here as well, it was nuts. But its still early June, so I have a feeling its going to just keep going up. And I'll be stayin' broke D:

Dallas area and it's about $2.50. Luckily, I don't pay for my gas out of my pocket, yay parents. :P

Gas here is about $2.49 a gallon. (New Mexico.) Price can vary by a couple cents depending on which gas station you go to, but it's average $2.49. :| (I don't drive, though, I take the bus.)
