Does anyone know of or could recommend some Chinese bands/singers?

I'd like to listen to some, but really don't know where to find out about them...

one song i really like is by Guang Liang, or Michael Wong. it's called Fairytale. =]

and if you're looking for Mandarin and not just Mainland music, i'd highly suggest Wang Lee Hom. =] some of his ballad songs that i like are Heartbeat and Ni Bu Zai (You're Not Here).

if you're looking for styles other than ballads or if you'd like more recommendations, let me know. ^-^

Do you have any particular preference in terms of genre? Also, are you looking for mainland mandarin singers or just mandarin singers in general?

Pop: S.H.E. Jolin Tsai 5566 A-chord( he posts song on his website and youtube.. but he does have a band called sea-level).

R&B/Hip-hop Wang Lee Hom JJ Lin Zhou Jie Lun(Jay Chou)

Rock: Second-hand rose Dong Cheng Wei Chaozai Cobra Silver Ash

um...when you guys say mainland, are you talking about China? I don't know what that means -_-' cuz if so, then no it doesn't have to be mainland, I'm just looking for Mandarin singers in general

I guess I do tend to listen to more rock kinda stuff, but I'm flexible. It doesn't have to specifically be rock or anything

Not that much mainland chinese music, but taiwan has alot my favorites: FIR, SHE, Fairenheit, club 138, Angela Zheng, Jolin, Guang Liang, Anson Wu, the list goes on and on :D

like Mercurius mentioned (I LOVE YOU FOR THAT), A Chord is a pop singer. He's really good, his first album just came out:D I actually named my username after him:P

i'd also recommend Wilber Pan. =] he's got both pop and hip-hop songs that are really cute and catchy. ^-^
