I got woken up today by way of HEART ATTACK.

This fucking storm is HUGE and it's LOUD.

I've never seen this much lightning in my life and the thunder is almost a continuous roll.

I turned my light on and that was flickering.

Gahhhh.

Quote
AT 440 AM EDT... A LINE OF SHOWERS WITH STRONG THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHED FROM DANVILLE TO CARLISLE... MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH.

WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH... UP TO PEA-SIZED HAIL... FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING STRIKES... AND BRIEF DOWNPOURS CAN BE EXPECTED FROM THIS LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

THAT DOESN'T HELP NOW JERKWADS D=

The power just almost went out. Fun stuff.

We're not. My dad said he hasn't heard thunder like this in a longgggg time.

I don't like getting scared awake, either.

It's because of climate change that's been happening now... -sighs-

We are actually having a very nasty weather that seems like a Signal (114.96MPH) here and we don't even have a typhoon. 2 weeks of pure rain pour, 2 tornadoes, strong winds, land slides, and flooding in some areas.

Yeah got to love our weather....

p.s. one of our neighbor's roof just went away. XD

._. hell I haven't heard thunder since I left China a year ago. Storms here are rare and sort of tiny, too :P I'd be scared shitless. Hope it passes soon <3

I LOVE storms...but not when they wake me up in the middle of the night =(

Eep. Tornadoes? D= I'm glad we don't get them here.

The storm isn't over yet. It's still lightning like crazy.

Apparently it's hitting my cousin's house right now and the strikes are hitting all around his house (he lives in a big open area) and he loves it. Crazy mofo.

[edit]

It's baaaaaaack.

And weather.com is down and I don't get local weather anymore thanks to effing satellite D=

Well I am in the hospital... so what am I suppose to do? o_O Oh and I am using a laptop. Someone in the house just told me. I guess the neighbor's roof isn't secured enough.

For the tornadoes it's just a small area in one of the cities here. At least it didn't killed anyone.

I love storms like that. ^^ Of course, when they're not flooding the pool/patio or knocking thick palm trees into fences.

Hurricane season recently started down here. o3o No tropical spawn as of yet.

You've never been through ahurricane, I'm guessing. xD Imagine your storm, but 5 or more times as worse. And the fact that you don't get power for weeks. 8D

I sleep better when there is a thunderstorm.. I guess its cause I live on a main road near a hospital and police station... all night all I hear are sirens and tractor trailers. xD

Only REALLY bad ones scare me... When I was little we had several storms have trees go through our house... We had one year, when I almost got crushed by a falling tree... (I got into the shower, lights went out, got out real quick (yep naked) and looked out the window at a friggen tree falling RIGHT at me!)

I woke up at 11 A.M (it's Summer and I stay up all night so I'm used to sleeping in until 2-3 P.M) because my cats knocked a big box down the stairs. I thought someone was getting killed so I started freaking out.

So yeah, I (kind of) feel your pain. :(

it storms all the time here. in fact, there was a big thunderstorm just a couple nights ago. three or four giant crashes in a row, then a bunch of little ones.

i don't really get scared by thunder anymore, although the big crashes unnerve me a bit. especially if it happens out of nowhere D:

There was a huge thunderstorm at my house around 6 in the morning this morning. I was sleeping with my window open above my bed, which has a metal awning above it. Then, it started hailing and when the hail was pounding on the awning it sounded like a freaking gun going off. Even when I closed my window it was still really loud.

Secret to internet connection = Verizon wireless DSL XD It booted me off once but that was it.

Surge protectors = life savers. Plus my battery would still be kicked in if the power went off. I'm /always/ on my laptop during storms XDD

No downed trees or anything, but someone called the FD and said their house was on fire o.o'

It's sunny now, figures. And hotter than hell D= 58% humidity, 84 degrees (feels like 87) and a severe thunderstorm watch.

Fun stuff.

oh yeah, i just remembered.

during a bad thunderstorm, the wind had knocked a huge tree onto our house. :o my dad was thoroughly freaked out, but luckily the tree hadn't damaged anything other than the roof, which was in poor shape to begin with.
