Heeeeyy. I hate to say this but 'Shii' is pretty much a stolen character. She/he belonds to Mayra boyle, aka, Huskie, a well known artist without the furry community (Nicely cropped yiff pic, btw) and it actually called Whitepawz, which is Mayra's main fursona.

You have just changed the name, added a few piercings here and there.

I don't agree with this. - You are claiming it as your own character and asking for art of it.

Wow you know Malodorous, he's not a stolen character because I KNOW that picture is from Mayra Boyle, I using as a reference to what he looks like thank you very much. The YIFF picture was cropped because I didn't feel like posting up a bunch of males fucking on the site. Sorry some people find that creepy. And 2nd off the character SHII that I have, doesn't have black forearms and his hair isn't that long, NOT to mention he has peircings in his ears and GOLDEN EYES. So seriously, back the fuck off. So I know who whitepawz is and I haven't claimed the artwork as my own.

[edit: Amazingly a lot of people role play white wolves with black hair, so it's not uncommon, I've had this character for about 9 years now, SOoO WONDEr when she made whitepawz -.- so whatever, I didn't have any artwork on him so I used that as a closest until I could get a really good picture of him and switch it out. So until then, I'm not removing it. Deal with it. Amazingly for my Vixen, same deal goes, I've had her for 9 years and her and Shii have been together. So that also makes your accusing invalid.]

I don't think you got my point. I noted that you had added piercings and such, but you did not add the fact that he is chaged in anyway otherwise, well anyway otherwise noticable in the ref.

I also believe that the social standard is to post something along the lines of "This isn't my art, nor art done for me - I am simply taking it to use as an example of my character" That to me is acceptable.

Nine years, eh? I'm sure you would of had at least one good ref after NINE WHOLE YEARS.

Anywayss~ Why are you so defensive about it, if you honestly feel you have done nothing wrong. I believe that someone in the right would say something like "I'm sorry but you are wrong - I meant it as......"

Funny, it seems like a business for me, I'm offering practice for people, in return IF it's exceptionally great, I'd offer to pay. Don't go poking things that you have no idea of what my intentions are. And I'm naturally defensive , I have been my whole entire life, My boyfriend hates that fact when he asks me question and I answer him, Just one remark or look on his face, I blow up and start defending my answer like crazy. I just do it. It's my personality. And also I have references, I just don't have a scanner to get them onto the computer and Also, I didn't start bringing him back into roleplay until the past year or so, ALSO if you look around the ART market , you'll notice that I've never posted in it until recently ((within about a weeks time)) as I just discovered how easy it is to buy and trade art and stuff. I've never done it before, so ty for embarrassing me in front of everyone, I really appreciate that. So I wouldn't HAVE fresh artwork on him. So seriously Stop looking for a fight. In all honestly, all that stuff you said right there is nothing to do with the issue. The point is, you gave no reference to the original artist, nor did you mention that it wasn't your own art. I wouldn't go as far as to say asking artist permission (though you really should), but at least a nice link to their artwork site would be nice, wouldn't it? I don't care whether you had it longer, or you changed a few things or you didn't mean to. Whatever your petty excuses are, the point is, you didn't credit.

Yeah, I didn't know the OP was using a different character's ref as HER character's ref. But honestly, all you had to do was ask her to credit the correct artist for the character. And, the OP shouldn't fight back, but just correct her mistake.

Sorry if I seem like a parent, but after reading all that, I got a little frustrated. Continuing on and rambling about what one person said is so childish.

I'll still draw for you, but... Can you add the credit to stop the fighting. I don't want anyone to get all angry and mess up your board.

I wasn't using them as MY refs, they were JUST REFs, I never said they belonged to me and Excuse me Mal, but im to busy being pregnant to just IMMEDIATELY change them at your demand, im in the process of taking her picture out of my refs anyway. And I understand that you were just using them as refs, and not claiming them. But I do think instead of getting rid of the ref, you should simply say that it's not SHII in the picture, but the character it actually is, and that you were just using it as a basic ref for what Shii looks like.

That way, you don't lose refs, and you can't get attacked again. :D
