The never ending poll. What do you use to write? a laptop/desktop/whatever, or the old style pencil and paper? I've been curious about this!

typewriter XD

Have to basically punch the keys. But have another one, still in pieces, that will be allot easier on the fingers.. if it ever is put back together

Staring at a computer so long hurts my eyeballs and by hand is annoyingly slow.. and most time ends up unreadable. Ha

XD Oh man, I can somehow picture you going at the keys with a hammer. That's hardcore, though. I couldn't possibly even try to do typewriter. I like my backspace/eraser...

Hee. It has a backspace and an eraser of sorts. Black and white ribbon, the white part is correction strip. It's a matter of hitting the correct letter to block out.. usually get it wrong too. X)

It's an experience, to say the least!

For my stories, I usually type them on the computer. But I like writing poetry with pen on paper in this little book I have. Poetry seems more personal to me, so I feel that pen and paper is more personal than a computer. But later, I usually do save it to the computer in case I ever lose the poem.

I use both pen and paper and computer. I find I spend more typing up stories, than writing in notebooks. Seeming as I usually lose my notebook once I have written a huge section to type up...roll eyes

I started out with notebooks but ADD kicks in and I start drawing in the margins so I switched to computers. I'll still jot down notes on paper but I mostly stick to the computer.

Depends on where I am. If I'm sick/general-blah-don't-want-to-leave-my-room, I use the old fashioned way. If I'm bored/already on the comp, I'll use technology, but have the time I forget to save and my dad shuts off my comp when I'm in bed. Thank God for recovery.

I use both my computer AND the notebook on it!

I have an HP Tablet computer, and if I jsut want to jot things down, and not really fully write them out, I open up the journal and use the tablet pen to scrawl down notes. If I later decide I need them in types text, I can easily convert it, copy and paste!

:D

It makes my life a bajillion times easier.

Oh I use pen and paper in class when I get hit by inspiration. At home it's all on the computer XD ❤️

I have no preference. Though I find that some ideas look better on paper than they do when you type them up. Also I find I'm a lot more specific with my writing on Paper because I hate having to liquid-paper things.

My laptop is my main story place--I almost never write stories down...even though I have a bajillion different notebooks lying around my room, I usually buy new notebooks even after I haven't filled out even 20 pages of my last one. XD

If that makes any sense. X3

Using pencil and paper annoys me because I write veeeeeeery slowly, so my mind gets confused because it is like two sentences ahead of what I'm writing. And I have this thing... I can't keep notebooks organized. I put too much pressure on the pencil (yeah, don't ask), and most erasers just DON'T erase it completely. And whenever I stop the writing, i.e. when the phone rings (HATE THAT), I start drawing waves and some nonsense stuff and it ruins all the prettiness of the blank sheet (I'm not an artist. I just don't have skills, so it's not like pretty little sketches). Paper feels more natural, though.

But I just /love/ my laptop, ha.

i usually use pencil and paper. it just feels right; i get a little uncomfortable while typing on the computer for some reason. and then there's the fact that openoffice lags like a little bitch, so if i leave it sitting for a while (i often do that while i'm writing, i get distracted easily) it'll freeze and i'll have to close it. meaning i usually lose whatever i was working on.

i had a lot of time to write at my old school because the hours were exceedingly long and i got my work finished quickly. now i never do; my classes are super-short and i almost always end up with homework. :|

I do a combination of both these days. I write sections in a notebook and type them up, then go back to my notebook.

Well, I use a notebook to scribble out random ideas(LITERALLY scribble out--- I hardly stay on the lines! xD), but a computer for any actuall writing. I can type much faster than I can write by hand, and because of that, it always turns out better on the computer---otherwise when writing by hand, I'll be prone to shortening descriptions and things because ADFHSLDJFADSF IT'S SO SLOW. T_T

Also, it's much easier to edit/fix things in the computer. xD

...also there are passwords to keep annoying little brothers and snoopy parents out. owo

Google Docs all the way. I save all my works in progress and then I can access them later from another computer, if need be. Makes working on stories a lot easier, since I'm not carrying an easy-to-lose memory key between school and home.

Sometimes I'll write in my notebook, and transcribe it to the computer later. I don't do this too much anymore, though, because I usually get ahead of myself on the computer and I don't feel like copying it back into the notebook. XD
