I'm 23. And I still live with my parents. I've been on the council housing list for well over a year now. Basically, you apply to go on there and get put to the back of the list. Over time, you move down the list until you're at the front. Then you get priority and could get yourself a flat (apartment to you Americans).
I got a phonecall today. I'm being considered for a one bedroom flat in a small village about a mile out of town. I will be visited at home first so that they can assess my current living arrangements and see whether the other people they're considering need this flat more than I do.
I love my parents to bits but I've been wanting to fly the nest for quite a while now and I finally may be getting my chance! :D
I will probably keep you all updated. Depends on how many people are interested :P
Thanks guys! Any tips to prepare my for this new adventure in my life?
Wow! Great job! huggles you tightly Hope things work out n.n I'm 22 and living with me MomXD
Goos luck, and remember to look as poor as fuck ;) that might help your case. And make your parent's house look as overcrowded as possible... seal off a bedroom and convince them it's just a boiler cupboard, lol :P
Edit, because my spelling = no so good.

Thank you, Rallok :)
ROFL! What a great idea!
And thanks! :)
