I have a recent obsession with German songs....so I was wondering if anybody here has a favourite band or song they'd like to list? I'd like to check them out.
If you know any great songs/bands from other countries, i'd also like those.
I enjoy listening to other languages...they're such a nice change from English. x D;;;

Well, I don't really like Tokyo Hotel, but I'm pretty sure they're German..?
Agonoize, KMFDM (anything before 2002), and Rammstein, off the top of my head...
start with these albums: Agonoize - Ultraviolent Six EP KMFDM - Nihil, Symbols, Adios Rammstein - Sehnsucht & Reise, Reise
probably harder than what you're looking for, but German music is German music.
if you're looking for German, Dreadful Shadows, Lacrimosa, Zeraphine, Einstürzende Neubauten and non english bands, Uniklubi, Flinch
IKNOW THERE'S MORE
Rammstein are pretty dece And I abolutely love E Nomine.
Rammstein is definetally my favorite German band. :)
Well, some of my favourites that haven't been mentioned are Oomph! and In Extremo. Who knows, you might like them.

Nina Hagen. I personally haven't really listened to her music, but I'm pretty sure she sings in German, at least sometimes.
And I second Rammstein and KMFDM. KMFDM tend to sing in English more than German though.
I was going to say Lacrimosa, but cnccvincc got there before me. Then there's Die Toten Hosen...

I'm German, so I'm often listening to German Bands. Some of my favorites are Schandmaul, In Extremo, WiseGuys, Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen, ... And two of my favorite singers are Christina Stürmer and Laith Al-Deen.
needs moar industrial that isn't Rammstein. I like them, but they're not the only German group. Here's some more bands to check out -
X-Fusion, Nachtmahr, and Straftanz are all great electro-industrial/aggrotech projects. Brain-splintering beats, and lots of distorted screaming in German. It doesn't get much better than that. Die Krupps is more along your standard industrial rock/metal lines. I haven't listened to them too much, but they're pretty good from what I've heard so far.
Also, I find it quite amusing that both people that have recommended Tokio Hotel have misspelled the name.
