My cousin wants me to consider being a Kindergarten teacher at her school.

The first thing I asked her was, "How long is nap time?" I was kidding, thinking maybe it was half an hour or something.

She then told me. "Two Hours."

Two Hours!!!!!

Dude, nap time in preschool was like one hour for me. And I didn't even HAVE nap time in Kindergarten. D;

We didn't have nap time in Kindergarten :( Though I didn't stay in Kindergarten too long to care anyways.

For real, I don't remember having nap time in kindergarten, but the day is pretty much over for them after lunch. She told me they even have recess twice.

So the run around tire themselves out, eat, take a nap, and go home.

All I have to do is teach them how to write their name and be like, "Yes, this is the color blue."

Hell, sounds like a fun job to me. =D

No, I'm not a teacher.

In the state I live in, they have a shortage of elementary teachers. So anyone with a Bachelor's Degree can take a Teacher test for $150 and if they pass they receive an emergency teaching license.

I'm thinking about taking it. I mean, off my 2pm everyday, two hour nap time, weekends off, and paid summer vacation. =D

2 hour naps should be for high school kids, we need it more then they do! XD

I don't remember there being that long of a nap in kindergarten...but then, I was in elementary school a loooong time ago.

Sounds like a cool gig though, if you enjoy playing with kids. My two are more than enough kid time for me lol

You know what? I'm not sure, but it probably does. I would think at the end of the school year or until they find someone more qualified for the job.

When i was in Kindergarten we had an hour of nap time. And we had recess twice untill i left elemenatary school.

When I was in Kinder we're only in the school for 5 hours for 3 days, and 8 hrs for 2 days (with 2 hrs nap time or what our class decided to do back then)

when I was a kindy teacher we had 2h nap time too, including lunch (during which I was off) that would be 2.5h. It did vary though if you had the tiny kids in the afternoon (longer nap) or the almost schoolkids. I was in china and had to teach the sleepy little idiots english though :P probably different where you are.
