Went on a hike today. in thongs FLIP-FLOPS (not /those/ kinds of thongs, my friends! XD). Now I have these... like... bubble blisters where my thong flip-flop straps were. They're really weird... see, I don't get blisters a lot (couch potato am I lul) and I've never had these things before... How do I get rid of them? They don't necessarily hurt, but they're freaking me out... xD BLISTER AFICIONADOS GATHER ROUND. and discuss. disgusting foot/blister stories, anyone? I'm not eating. :D [edit] lul you guys I'm American. I've just had a thing for calling them thongs... xD

When I first started reading this, I thought you were talking about the underwear thongs, but the end confirmed it was flipflops XD

I have a blister on my heel that just will not pop. It bugs the hell outta me.

I got my first blister last year when my family and I spent our Winter Break in Florida.

It hurt like hell. ;-; I was walking and a sharp pain shot up my foot. When I got back to the condo, I had my mom pop it and I almost cried. I'm 14 years old. I fail.

Don't pop it. It could get infected. Just try to keep it clean and don't wear the flipflops.

Try putting small band-aids on them, but don't pop them.

And don't wear flipflops for a while because they'll hurt worse if you do. :x

Once, when I went to Vegas, we were walking around and I got a -HUGE- blister on my toe.. it must have been at least 1cm in diameter.. I was tempted to take a picture of it and send it to Guiness World Records, for largest blister/water bubble in proportion to one toe 8D; I think what I did, was I poked a hole in it (with like.. a pin), drained the liquid from my toe, and then patted the skin back down -shifty eyes- I probably wrapped a band-aid around it afterwards, but bandages don't really stay well on toes :p

You shouldn't pop them, because then they'll be all open and sore. :( You should try and keep them dry and clean, I'd think. I've never gotten blisters on my feet, but I get them sometimes on my hands.

I get blisters all the time. I pop them, then put on this cream for cuts. I then put a bandage on it. It doesn't hurt me. But everyone is different.

I pop them, then wash it and put a band-aid over it. It's a lot less painful that way, at least in my opinion.

I once got anywhere from six to ten blisters on my feet a few years ago. I was walking around in dress shoes all day, and I didn't have my shoe inserts in them (for my fallen arches). And at the end of the day we were walking around for hours looking for a metro station. By the time I got back to the hotel around midnight I was about ready to cry.

Pop them. Seriously!

You just press down around the area of the blister and lightly poke a hole on the side of it with a sanitized pin. Drain it and put a bandaid on it.

Sterilize needle with fire. make tiny hole. Do NOT puncture the skin underneath. Press out liquid. Let air dry.

If you let it burst on its own it could hurt like a mofo.

oh hay i just popped one of mine yesterday~! i just popped it when i got out of the shower cos then it's all clean (kinda like if you REALLY have to squeeze a zit, clean is the best time to do it!)

omfg, thats so weird, i just got a blister thing yesterday on the side of my finger. at least i think it was a blister. the last time i had blisters was when i was in elementary school from the monkey bars, but they were the normal red ones. but this was like, a tiny little bubble of skin. it wasnt red or anything. for some reason its gone now though. fuckin weird.

You hiked in flip-flops?? I just cant imagine how that is possible. :o It must hurt like hell, no wonder you have blisters. I suppose thats why I never get them (on my feet) but I had one on my finger once and it was horrible and my mum burst it with a pin and all the stuff ran out onto a paper towel, it was discusting. And I had no idea how I got it...

Don't worry-I always call them flip-flops. :) A mind exposed to worldly ideas of dirtiness changes its perspective on stuff. xD
