Have you done it before? I sure hope I am not the worst offender, but I've done it twice this year.

Today, I misplaced $10 of my mum's money. While at the shopping center, she said I could buy something with it. I swear it was in my pocket, but oddly enough, it just vanished. Let's just say that not she's not very happy about it. It may just be $10, but if you think about it, that's like what you get paid an hour, so it all counts.

I also lost my $50 a couple months the exact same way. Thank goodness it was of my own money, but I still feel crap about it because I don't have a job (and don't intend to get one), so it's basically all chore money. -sigh-

The other thing I've lost that doesn't belong to me, is the family digital camera. I like to take photos of things, whether it be plants, animals, scenery etc, but I have this nasty habit of putting things in the wrong place (probably my problem for the first offence), and when we were off to go on holidays? - everyone turned to me wondering where the heck I last put the camera. Maybe I just have parents that get angry to quickly. I don't know.

Back to the question, has anyone else here done something so unfortunate as misplacing something of someone else? For me, it seems it's almost always something expensive. There must be some psychology to it :P

I once lost a 65 dollar check I got for babysitting once. I accidently threw it away. I also accidently threw away my debit card - oops!

But someone else's belonging? Hmmm. I can't recall anything. Everything I have lost has been mine.

Sorry to hear about losing the money. That's a real bummer.

Ah! $65! Ouch. I guess you can truthfully say you did the job out of the goodness of your heart? x3

Perhaps it'd be a good idea to be more wary of what I'm taking from other people, I don't know. Just think of what I've got before I go off losing it :P

i have this habbit of picking up things and moving them where they don't belong. when i'm in the supermarket i'll pick up some chips, read the label and put them with the eggs. i also pick up things around the house and put them in weird places, like earlier i was writing with a red sharpie, i walked around and then i put it somewhere in the kitchen. :I

it's you who does that? :( I always feel compelled to put the stuff back to its proper place. I misplace library books all the time to the point that I just read them when I'm there so I don't freak myself out looking for them at home. It's super frustrating when something's gone missing in your room and it is absolutely spotless. WHERE THE FUCK IS IT HIDING?

haha, I do that too Spookie! Mostly when I'm too lazy to go back and put it where I found it. :P

I've never lost something of someone else's, because I'm always very careful with things that aren't my own. However, someone did lose something of MINE, and I was hella pissed, lol. ):

and if i'm carrying something, i always put it down somewhere. i had borrowed my friend's camera, and had it in my hand when i went to the fridge for food. i guess i wasn't thinking cause i set it down there to get some foods, and then went back to my room. when i realized i didn't have it, i couldn't remember where it was and spent an hour looking for it.

and yes all the time. i have this habit of

my friend just took his step brother's really expensive bike for a ride down to the barbershop today, and it got stolen...

also, I work at a clothing store, and during xmas time this 13 year old girl lost 100 dollars her dad had given her.... she was crying and looking through the whole store, but someone must have been quicker and picked it up, she never found it :( I felt so bad for her....

Haha... and I am the bystander who goes around unobtrusively picking things up and trying to put them back where they belong, while trying to avoid store employees who may get mad at me for it. I can't help it though, I have OCD.

I'm constantly losing/ruining things I borrow from my friends. It's okay though, because they never notice. c;
