I made one of a character for a contest on DA. I didn't win, but I had a lot of fun making it anyway. Just....felt like posting it for the hell of it. I really need to start making one for someone else actually. We're supposed to be beady-trading D:

whoa! that looks like a lot of time-consuming work!
any change you could show the winner of the contest?

Took about a week (and a lot of glue scorchings; I actually burned a little patch of skin off my arm and it took me a minute to realize I had done it XD SLOWNESS). I might get a cold glue gun to see if that would work better for me to roll the claws and such in my fingers. It's hard to judges when it's the right consistency to do it when it's hot. If you do it at the wrong time it gets this really ugly bumpy look to it.
There's a link to Kilara's page aaaaaaaalllllll the way at the bottom of my comments section past that boring story XD The dancing purple demon is her =3
hot glue guns suck. surely there is some other medium you could use that won't be so dangerous to use. maybe a craft glue?
i dunno what i'm doing. i cannot seem to find the winning bead animal.

I never thought about craft glue. Do you mean specifically like Tacky Glue? I don't think that type would work so well. I think more of it would stick to me them the project XD I wonder if Mod Podge would work?
Oh! The contest was anything goes! Most people put in digital paintings and a few did real ones. I think only around five of us did 3D projects, including the person I'm supposed to be doing one for right now. They go by Enaxn. I thought the seed bead Avian was adorable <3
well i know there are several crafting glues that stay tacky and malleable for crafting. prolly a google search might help. i'll see what i can find just as soon as i have some free time. ^_^
as another suggestion, you might try some crafting soft wax that you can shape and then use a clear coat to maintain the shape. i'm specifically thinking of the soft wax used at the bottom of candles and stuff to keep them in place in a holder.

Hmm, that wax idea sounds great. I'll just need to find the stuff to experiment with it =3 Thanks for the help!
