What are your opinions of her adopting another child even though she is an older person? Do you think the only reason she was allowed to adopt was because of her money even though she was rejected the first time?

Edit: I fail at links. Can someone help me out? :{o

Edit^2: Aha, thank you.

I don't really care how old she is...just that the guy claiming to be the father wasn't even heard. There wasn't a test to see if he was the father or anything. He probably -is- lying about it and since he hasn't ever even seen the kid he's claiming to be the father of...he's not likely to win father of the year anyway, but still he should've been considered before the child was adopted.

My mom is the same age as Madonna by a few days. .____.

Well, seeing as this kid is going to have a hectic-crazy life, nope I don't think she should be allowed to adopt. The kid will get attention for a week and then gets sent to the nanny. I think of it kind of like kids and their toys. You like it and then get bored. (Idk, I hope any of that made sense. My brain isn't quite running yet. :P)

Yes, but see, you're not three years old. xDD Doesn't she also have another son who's two or barely three? Idfk, I really don't know why you'd want kids so young at such an old age. xD

According to my parents, they couldn't handle the physical and emotional pressures of handling a toddler at their ages (and my mother is five years younger than Madonna!).

I dunno, I used to like her a lot, but she's going crazy recently. I mean, it's great that all these children are getting adopted; seriously, that makes me very happy. And OBVIOUSLY all these celebrities have the means to support these children, but it just seems VERY biased. Honestly, hardworking couples that aren't rich and don't write songs about sex try for years to adopt a baby, and get nowhere. Madonna just had to beg one more time after being rejected and BAM! Like that, she's accepted..

Whatevs.. I hate celebrities. xD

I don't see how there could even be a debate about a 50-year-old woman adopting a kid. It's not like she's not on her deathbed. My parents adopted two kids and they're in their mid 50's--there's no reason why you can't raise a kid just because you're too old to give birth to one.

It's a little ridiculous that Malawi's government is bending their laws just because she's a celebrity. But honestly, what do you expect?

And the most important thing is that the kid's getting a way better life than she would've otherwise. Regardless of whether Madonna/Madonna's nannies are the ideal parents, the kid's going to be fed, clothed, and healthy, and she'll get a good education and have way more opportunities for a good life as an adult.

it bothers me that people like brangelina have no issues adopting the 27 (and counting) kids they have... but someone like madonna has so much trouble.

i honestly don't care about all the other details. weird?

It bugs me that celebrities get the rules bent because of them, but other than that I have no problem with it, as long as the child is cared for.

What she said. Just because you're famous doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want. As long as the authorities feel she's going to actually take care of the child etc etc, I'm OK.

I would be hopeful and think that the rules aren't being ignored because of her celebrity, but because of what the judge stated.

Quote

The judge said Madonna had shown herself to be "intelligent, compassionate, articulate and determined since the early age of 6 when her mother died," saying the young Madonna had helped raise her siblings.

And he said "her latest income tax returns shows that she is financially stable; she can therefore look after the needs of" the little girl.

I don't see the problem here. If she can care for the kids, why not?

Why isn't anyone stepping up to stop women like Nadya Suleman? That's worse in my opinion.

Well see, the reason I brought up her age in this thread is because since she is adopting a baby at her age, the baby won't get to spend a lot of time with her mother. When Madonna's child is 25, Madonna will be 73.

Now I know what you're all thinking. "25 years is a pretty long time" Not really no. And when that 25 years comes, Madonna will be very old and her body is preparing for death. Yeah, there is a chance that she could live up into her 80s, but either way, the adopted child is going to be very young with an elderly mother on the brink of death.
