So, last night I had posted on a selling forum for that cute sorceress wig. Well, after being here and there all day, the owner and I settled for 3.6mil. I asked the person to set up the trade and I had to scurried away to made dinner for my grandma and I. Well, I come back and have a comment with the lot number, then a comment saying "Sorry. Someone beat you to it."
...Seriously? Thats... rather rude in my opinion. You don't agree on a price and set up a trade just to sell it to someone else.
/rant
On a lighter note... I now know how to make doughnuts! :D
Well, when an item is in high demand, and your not there, then alot of times someone would sell the item in your absence, but how long were you gone? :/ I usually wait at least 25 minutes before selling the item to someone else Dx
And Omg :o you should make a doughnut shop! Tela' Doughnuts, Cuz we can
Lulz. I was gone for around 35 minutes or so. Again, I was making dinner and also, the person shouldn't have been so impatient. I had been waiting for an answer from her since last night.
Still, it's kinda wrong to be like "Sure! You can buy it!" Then "Nope! Srrry. Sold it while you werz gone. =3" -w-
Heck yes! Will accepts monies and stuffs for doughnuts. xD
I personally think that is just wrong. If the seller and you BOTH agree on a price and said seller makes the trade, he should not sell said item to anyone else unless they tell you "I made the trade but you'll have x amount of time before I cancel it and sell it to someone else. Blahblah"
When I usually sell something, I give the person up to 48 hours to make an offer because not everyone can be on RIGHTATTHATMOMENT, sometimes they get called off right away because of parents, emergencies, etc. So, that is very rude of the seller to do so!
[edit] On top of that, the price was already settled so it is not like the seller would have lost anything. The seller would have gotten his money because, as a buyer, we make the promise to buy from that person on the price that was agreed upon.

If you've already agreed on a price and said you'd take it, IMHO unless you're gone for more than 48 hours there's no reason you should sell the item to someone else. :|

Thank you enV (love your username, btw. <3) AHH! It's so irritating! Thats the first time it's happened to me and I just think it's horrid. I usually give people 48 hours as well... and as I've said, I've been waiting since LAST NIGHT to get this item. It's so stupid to be waiting patiently for it then have it ripped out of your hands while your cooking dinner for your grandmother of all people.
Thank you for agreeing as well, Hamlet.
Thank you :) ❤
Yeah, it is painful and Subeta's community is lovely but sometimes they can really dig under your skin. Sadly, that happens more often than it should.

Agreed. It is painful... and it kind of makes me cringe a little when going into the buying/selling thread... ):
EDIT- squeals OMG! Thank you enV! tacklehug ❤ Made my day. ;~;
Yup, that's why I don't even bother, I just shove it in my shop and undercut when items just won't sell. I'm bad, but at the same time, I am glad someone got a deal on an item and I got some sP out of it.
You're welcome :)

Yea... I'm not going to anymore unless I actually know the person who's selling the stuff. x.x True. I've been accused of undercutting sometimes too. So long as it sells, I don't really care. >.>;
♥
Aww that sucks :( I try really hard not to do that - a couple of times I've gotten messed up and sold items to the wrong people and I go out and get another one of the items so that the buyer doesn't lose anything :x
I hate being the person whose end of the deal falls through.

I agree Denzel. It just really irks me. Thats NOT good buisness skills anyways. It's not an auction, it's a deal. I mean, gosh. I'm the exact same way. I try to make sure I do everything correct, even putting "Reserved" on the trade note so other people wont try to offer on it...
The right thing to do would be to wait for the person you chose to make the deal with, but there are no rules or anything like that set in place so unfortunately this is going to happen. A similar thing happened to me when I was buying CSC. We agreed upon 7.25m but someone else offered 7.4 on the lot, luckily the person chose to stay true to his word and I still got my CSC. Sorry the same thing didn't happen with you.
Good luck with getting your wig.
I've only done that once in my entire time on Subeta, and then the user I didn't sell an item to made me feel really bad, so now I wait at LEAST a day before putting it back up for sale. Most of the time more. lol I thank you, user who made me feel bad. ^__^
This is the first time it's happened to me and it actually shocked me. I was just like "Alright... I was making dinner but okay..." And I'm on Subeta A LOT, mostly at night, but there are moments where I am not at my laptop, and this was one of them.
But eh, what can you do? It's not like I can report them for not staying true to the deal and stuff?
Like I said, I'm sticking to buying things from people I know or have bought things from before. xD
I'm still holding on to a wig (different one) that someone said they would comment me once they had the pure for it... that was... a month or more ago? Maybe I should just try to sell it, but I'd feel like a skunk. And... I can't actually remember the persons username XD
I can't believe someone would simply sell something that they had contracted to sell to another within 24 hours. That's rank impatience and bad manners.
Rudeness. I hope you told them that was mean and you'll never do business with them again.
I didn't, but I'll defiantly never do business with them again.
I think it is so rude when a seller agrees on a set price with you sets the trade and then sales out from under you. - now if you were not replying that's one thing but if you told them you were leaving for a sec.... It's very rude of them.
I've only not held to a promised trade once and that's cause the user was gone for over two weeks and wasn't replying to my comments so I sold it and I'm glad I did cause they never contacted me...
Hope you find a better seller and get a better deal!!!
I think it is rude. If both agreed to go and have settled the price for the transaction, both should really go and do it. The seller should have waited.
Have you mentioned to the person that you'll be out for like an hour or so? Some do want to have a fast transaction too and since you disappeared they think that it would be better to sell it off to someone for a quick cash.
But like I said it is still rude not to have push through the transaction with you. Hopefully you'll find a better seller next time :)
