So, I have both items in wardrobe BEFORE the site seperated them out into different pieces. If I take it out of wardrobe and "open" them, do I get the seperate pieces? And do I get all the items that come with that? For example, the Sealed clamshell gives me the full mermaid outfit, but not the background, so if I take it out of wardrobe and open it, will it give me all the items?

im pretty sure it works just like a normal costume trunk, except the unopened "trunk" is wearable (in its old form). once you open it up, you choose male of female like a regular costume trunk and you get the items that come in that trunk.

If you open the item, it acts like a costume trunk. You get all of the items that come with that set (and yes, it includes a background). I would suggest going to subetaHQ and checking out all the items that come out when you open it, so you can make the best decision for you. :)

I see. I was just confused when I saw all the options available, yet I was still having the wearable 'trunk' usable in my wardrobe.

Please keep in mind that if you open it, you can never go back to the original pre-trunk form. So if you are really attached to the old version, do not take it out of your wardrobe.

I got my first trunk and wish I had read this first...although I am in love with what I got...
