...My parents just served my (Non-Chinese) friend pig's blood and fish heads for dinner.....

: Lol, can we trade places? I've developed immunity to some of the stuff my parents like to eat, but it's SO awkward when we go to some fancy restaurant and they start eating the brains of the crab, or the eyeballs of the fish. If you can imagine, Americans sit VERY far away from us XD

Fish heads, are the ones they serve the one with broth? I sure do like the Salmon head with broth. I just dont eat that all the time. ^_^

Oh dear. I'm Pinay and we eat a lot of typical Pinoy food such as fish head soup but my dad never serves that when I have friends over.

im odd because im half brittish (my mom is full blooded english) so I LOVE fish and chips smothered in vinegar.

the odd thing is i like to also smother my fish in ketchup. its the american side showing through.

every time my friends come over and i eat it they gag and run to the bathroom. for petes sake its just fried fish

The role with my friends and I is reversed for the most part. Whenever I come over for dinner, I'm either sitting face to face with fish heads or bulls tongue.

And I agree! I'm part British too, and fish and chips is wonderful. :)

I can see the fish heads but I've never thought of animal blood as being edible. :c

But I have the same problem, except it's that my parents like to make gourmet food. They're constantly making stuff that looks and tastes appalling to a teenager like me.

Haha, that reminds me of the family and friend gatherings that I go to once or twice a year. Pig blood, chicken feet, pig ears, you name it, we probably had it. XD

yummy.. lol im serioiuose have any of you guys tried blood pudding? or hagis? its GOOD! i mean really the ..eeewwww... factor is just a state of mind if they blindfolded you and you ate it and went yum im gonna eat this for eva then they unblind fold you and you puke ....see?it really has nothing to do with the taste any ways blood pudding is fresh gees blood made into pudding

+ green_monkey: Haha, surprisingly, it is edible XD SaichOtic explains it pretty well =) It's like a bunch of little jello cubes after it's done cooking, and it tastes like some strangely textured meat. There's not much of a blood favor (surprisingly), but even just saying that I eat Pig's Blood makes me feel like some screwed up vampire XD

Ahaha. Well, that sounds like an interesting meal. I don't think I would've handled the fish heads very well...

But, I do like blood. At least my own blood. I've never tried anyone else's blood. I like how my blood tastes though. The metallic-ness is really good.

And yeah. Hotdogs are TOTALLY worse than fish heads. I'd much rather eat fish heads than a mash of rejected organs from meat factories, predominantly penises.
