The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor (I believe that's his first name)

The novel is and excellent spin-off of the original Alice in Wonderland. I think it is greatly written, suspensfull, and all around amazing. There's the evil Aunt Redd who decapitates people, little innocent Alyss lost in the real world, and catepillers that smoke hookahs and predict the future. The book itself is very fantastical, interesting, and wants you to read more.

There is website specifically set for the the novel, www.lookingglasswars.com, and features art, music specifically meant for it, and quite possibly a movie. I highly recommend it. You might find it to be quite enjoyable ;)

For a historical read I really reccommend First they killed my father, I couldn't help but cry at the end. I also really love The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson.

I really enjoyed reading the Harry Potter Series. It was really good and the books could actually hold my attention. Another good book is 'looking for alaska' though I can't remember who the author is.

I am almost done reading the Harry Potter series. You really should read them. I can read one book a week. (or 100 pages a day at least). Also, Dragonlance is a good series to read. I suggest reading Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night, and Dragons of Spring Dawning for starters. The series after that is Time of the Twins, War of the Twins, and Test of the Twins. Those are the holy six of Dragonlance. Those are a good read also. Basically anything by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman (together or separate) is reading worthy. There is also the Charrline harris books, the Dead Until Dark books. Those are like, mystery vampire books. I have never read them (don't like mystery books) by my friend is in love with them.

The books the world calls 'immoral' are the books that show the world its own shame. - Picture of Dorian Gray

I quite like the Percy Jackson series. It's about a guy who is the son of Poseidon and a mortal woman. There ends up being loads of "demigods" and stuff. It doesn't sound good when you explain, but trust me. I was hesitant at reading such a casual book but I was soon immersed. If you like fantasy, you'll love it. :)

evolution with you comes naturally, some call it signs, we call it chemistry.

(Sorry if these aren't in the genre's you wanted, since I don't catagorize my books like that,) Skinned, and everything else by Robin Wasserman. /Everything/ by margret petersen Hadix. Percy jackson and the olympians, (Might be a little young for you, the characters are in 6th grade in the first book, but are sixteen in the last.) And....I'll edit if I can think of more. Is going to library today
