If you read the "Pumpkin Patch Guide" book to your pet, will it increase your chances of finding snowflaik? The description says it'll help you find things...

- not as far as I know. Most of the book descriptions are just for colour and don't actually help you do anything. There are a few books that do stuff, but I think they have the "use" or "activate" option.
