my brother came up with this riddle am i the only one that couldn't figure it out?

if you put some bacteria in a petri dish at midnight and it doubled every minute and the petri dish was full by midday, when was the dish half full?

I'll tell you the answer in a minute, but i way over complicated it XD have you ever made you self really stupid because you know you have to come up with a smart awnser??

That was like when I first heard the "which weighs more, a ton of feathers or a ton of bricks?" riddle in 6th grade. I remember getting all smart and saying,"Uh..it's a ton of bricks, duh," acting like a prissy little smarty pants; that's when they started laughing at me..

Well.. something similar to this happened to me a while ago..: My friend who took the SAT told me the easiest question in there: "If there is 15 people in a line, how meny people are between the first person in the line and the last person in the line?" Try to guess.. I'll tell you that it's not 14. -_- (I'm not too sure if i'm able to put a SAT question on the internet's like this, so, I apologize! )
