I have done that many times.

i have done something like this and then not completed quests in time because of it. easily distracted!!

happens to me ALL THE TIME when trying to restock at subetique, i'm like nah its been 24min. it wont' restock in 1min. i have time to make Ramen, and what do you know it restocks while im gone. freaking minutes and nothing! but i leave and its like OMG time to restock!

(can you tell this is a recent experience? lol)

I hate doing that...I usually end up missing the one thing I wanted to get too.
